  19. "...my overhead DVD played didn’t work when I bought the truck. I have no idea what could go there, but it would be pretty cool to see what you come up with! Maybe a pocket for CB radio with some lights on the sides? Or maybe just a piece that holds some LEDs that can be wired into the cargo lights so they come on when the doors open? " (from @aaronrules)
  20. something to fill part of the door slot @Otter
  21. A snap on cover that prevents items from blocking or restricting air intake for those with rear A/C @James Bentley
  22. "Ben, I was thinking about the ash tray in front. I know if I pull the tray out my iPhone 11 (pro) will fit. I was wondering if you could fab up a shelf that could have a built in Qi charger. A person could then enter, slide the phone in and it would charge (and if you had wireless CarPlay or whatever the android version is) you’d be coed free and the phone would be out of the way.“ @CBdeJ
i was told you make or can make a mount for an 8” sub. I am trying to replace my speakers and trying to figure out how to mount a bigger sub there.

I want to replace my factory, no nav, stereo on my 98 LC. I was thinking it would be great to switch to a single DIN headunit and use the remaining space for accessories.

What about designing a panel to fill that single DIN slot? Not sure if on top of or below the headunit makes a difference in the design.

I was thinking it would be great to have some RAM mounts in that spot above the headunit.

Hey @BenCC !

Another fog light request, for the Diode Dynamics Elite series fog lamps:

These lamps come with brackets that are a direct replacement on the Tacomas and 4Runners. I like the lights themselves more than the SS3s for my purposes. Any chance of designing a housing to fit these and mount the bracket directly?

Maybe this has been asked, I search the thread with no results, but I have not read through all 2,946 post.

Have you ever been asked or toyed with making the left and right radio trim pieces for 2003-2007 year models? From what I can tell the air vents are removable from that trim piece.

Lots of possibilities there. Could design the lower half of them to compatible with the M2's.

Make 2 V2: Ram Ball Base Mount

1. Overview of the Final Product

View attachment 2351880

This is the final product, M2V2, installed on my truck.

RAM Diamond Ball Base:

Someone else may be interested in a 17mm ball (Garmin standard) that fits the Make 2 Ram mount. Many phone mounts these days use a 17mm ball.

Here is the only 17mm ball I could find with the diamond base. I ordered one and it fits the mount perfectly:

@BenCC still active here? Haven't seen him post on this thread since July. I've sent a couple PMs, maybe they ended up in spam... Looking to get a Make 22.

Great thread! Just saw it for the first time.

I have been trying to figure out something to neatly mount a 1/16 DIN panel mount EGT for the diesel 105 now with a 1HD, Mister Blue. The unit is from

@cruisermatt found a great location for the unit in the diesel pickup 70 series:

But I am at a bit of a loss for the 100 series. I'd prefer the console or dash rather than the overhead.

The displays are from Auber Instruments and they make a variety of useful gauges in both 1/16 and 1/32 DIN sizes--commonly used in industrial automation. I'd love to add an accurate digital oil pressure / oil temperature set and an accurate water temp. So ideally the solution would accommodate multiple gauges.

But I think openings for three 1/16 DIN gauges would work well. They are small, only 48 x 48 x 85mm (1/16 DIN). One of the nice things is that the Aubers' have an alarm output so on the wish list is an additional round opening for a large 'alarm' light, which I think can be ganged together so any of the gauges' alarms would turn it on to attract attention.
