I've been lurking here for a few years studying build threads as I work away on a 40 I bought up in WY. I've learned alot from some great threads and amazing members. And Ive finally learned that I don't have the time this project needs to finish. I hate giving up on something but it's time to let this one go.
Pictures include some shots from when I brought it home and some showing where it is now. It ran well enough when i bought it for some day trips in the Front Range. I took it apart thinking body work would be easier that way and it has been inside the entire time since. All the original parts are present except the top cap, front bumper and one corner window. And i have many new sheet metal parts in the back half of the tub...

Looking to get rid of our 1967 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. The outside is not perfect, but it's in solid all around shape. Mechanically very dependable. Runs and drives without issue. Has a 305 v8 with approx 40k on motor and 4 speed manual trans. Also has hi/low 4wd, power steering, disc brakes and rear locker. Not looking for trades. Message me with more questions. $17,500 obo
For sale is a 1976 FJ40 Landcruiser, mostly original with a very solid frame and moderately rusty body. Milage is 19268, not actual. Original 2f, and 4 speed H42, with power brakes and front discs. Purchased by me over 3 years ago, I have put time mostly into getting this Landcruiser mechanically reliable. The original plan was far a full frame off restoration, however currently being a renter with a small garage, this will not be possible for the foreseeable future. Overall the mechanical condition of the vehicle is good, it is a reliable driver and I would not hesitate to take it on a trip. Location is Boise, ID. Sale is cash only unless otherwise negotiated beforehand. Vehicle is on a clean Washington collector vehicle title...

Description:
I have a running and driving FJ40 for sale.
I traded for this not to long ago. I could use the extra cash for some hospital bills, but I don’t need to sell.
It DOES run and drive. Well enough to drive around the neighborhood. The glass is currently out of the vehicle, so I wouldn’t recommend driving too far. I DO have all the glass for the 40, it’s just out because it’s mid restoration. As you can see in the pictures, a lot of body work has already been done. The frame is really clean. Only spot of rust is in the rear where the frame meets the rear bumper. The hard top needs work, and the passenger side rocker panel needs to be...

1975 Toyota Land Cruiser with the factory 2f engine and 4 speed transmission. Runs and drives good. Very solid Montana rig that is complete. The previous owner sprayed primer on the bottom all around the truck, I did not do that. Original paint on top, primer on bottom. Has jump seats and original front and rear floor mats. I just purchased a plane so one of my toys has to go. Clean clear title. Located in Philipsburg MT 59858. This is a great example of a solid old cruiser you can drive as is or simply do a color match exterior paint and have a show truck. Yes I know the bezel is upside down. There is parts on this rig that I would love for my Land Cruiser but once you start stealing parts they are no longer...

1977 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser
I've rebuilt ever mechanical part on this FJ40 about 5000 miles ago. I did so much work on this and just hardly every use it... which is why i'm selling it. Its reliable as a Toyota. Starts, runs and drives down the highway at 65 all day long. I went through the entire thing to make it safe and reliable.
I'm don't have to sell this so please don't make silly offers. The only thing I would consider in trade would be a surf boat or partial trade for one.
I'd be happy to talk with you about it if you're interested as there is way too much to put into writing.
Body: 8/10
Mechanical: 9.99/10

1969 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. Selling on behalf of a friend.
Owned for 25+ years. Garage kept and also used as a mountain cabin vehicle. Original motor and drivetrain. 3 on the tree transmission, locking hubs and Warn winch. Also comes with hard full size doors and hardtop which is stored together in the garage.
Car has been repainted and has had some patch work done. Overall, a fun runner to drive as is or restore.
1970 FJ40, originally from Montana. been in storage and not driveable for decades. It is so solid and nearly rust free. I didnt want to paint it, I love patina. This is a straight six engine, three on the tree manual transmission with vacuum operated four wheel drive. It is a perfect driving 40. no top or side doors, I only drive on nice days. Completely stock with a few saftey exceptions. Its value is derived from a mechanically sound truck with such a solid body. I havent seen one so clean in decades. I never planned to sell this truck but life has gotten in the way. Completely Rebuilt engine rebuilt carb, done in florida by a FJ40 carb expert. front disk brakes off a 1976 FJ40, rebuilt front knuckles. rear disk brakes, JT outfitters...
1962 fj40 runs drives not 100% complete. Not enough time and to many projects to finish it up. Do have a soft top for it not sure if it's all there or correct never tried to install it. Have the full hard doors unrestored but in good shape and glass intact. Sbc powered toyota 3spd on floor. Powered disc brakes on front. Asking 18k but flexible on price.
At this phase of life, I have decided to reduce my Landcruisers from 3 to 1 due to lack of time and just not using them enough to justify keeping them. The first one I’ve decided to sell is my 1964 FST. Only listing here for a week as I would like this to stay in the mud community, then will move to other platforms.
$25.8k firm on price to save the back and forth. I have the title in hand.
The truck was fully rotisserie restored, including engine rebuild around 11 years ago.
This truck’s restoration is fully documented over 164 pages here on mud - destins 1964 fj40 FST restore thread - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/destins-1964-fj40-fst-restore-thread.297786/
I purchased the truck directly from Destin around 5 years ago as I...
Not mine, but looked at it and it's very nice. Seller just added "FJ40" to the post. I suspect it wasn't getting noticed without it:
