That panel on LC100 cannot be removed. The smaller black panel is glued or modeled to the main panel.Great thread! Just saw it for the first time.
I have been trying to figure out something to neatly mount a 1/16 DIN panel mount EGT for the diesel 105 now with a 1HD, Mister Blue. The unit is from
@cruisermatt found a great location for the unit in the diesel pickup 70 series:

But I am at a bit of a loss for the 100 series. I'd prefer the console or dash rather than the overhead.
The displays are from Auber Instruments and they make a variety of useful gauges in both 1/16 and 1/32 DIN sizes--commonly used in industrial automation. I'd love to add an accurate digital oil pressure / oil temperature set and an accurate water temp. So ideally the solution would accommodate multiple gauges.

But I think openings for three 1/16 DIN gauges would work well. They are small, only 48 x 48 x 85mm (1/16 DIN). One of the nice things is that the Aubers' have an alarm output so on the wish list is an additional round opening for a large 'alarm' light, which I think can be ganged together so any of the gauges' alarms would turn it on to attract attention.
That looks great Ben. Wish I had a LX woth OE bumper.
It can hold both options (with or without switch).Hey Ben I had a question about the Baja designs dome light bracket. I was he one that ordered it and contact you on IG. Can these house the Baja designs lights that have a built in switch or is it only for the dome lights that come without the switch? How do I work around ON/OFF/Door function thet the factory dome lights have? Is there a way to wire these similar or is ON/OFF the only option?
Thanks for replying Ben. Product looks amazing and color match is really good with the grey interior..It can hold both options (with or without switch).

Where can I buy this 3 way rocker switch that you have installed on your car and do you have any pics to show how you wired this on the back side?
I appreciate the link Ben!
I don’t have a wiring pic.
In for a pair of brackets when complete! ETA on production versions for sale?
That is quite a large piece for 3d build.Hi Ben, my friend @cruisermatt asked me to help him with any LHD 80 series transmission consoles that I happen to see here in Dubai. I do keep an eye out, but there are not that many available. Most of the 80s being scrapped here are RHD from AUS. I just happened across an AUS company saying that they are making the RHD replacement consoles, but firstly, this seems to be their first project of this kind, and secondly it is RHD.

I suspect that you could sell quite a number of LHD manual consoles in North America. There seems to be a fair number making the slush box to H151 or H152 conversions.
The same argument could be made for 100 series manual consoles. I did a search in this thread and did not see any mention of the idea.
Edit: I'm informed that the 100 series manual LHD consoles may still be available from the OEM.
Well I suppose I am suggesting doing is designing a master for an aluminum casting. It would take a lot of work to turn an OEM plastic moulded piece and turn it into something that could be used as a master for sand casting an aluminum unit. The walls need to be thicker, I think. Aluminum would be a nice material for that unit I think. But maybe I am all wet. Apologies for derailing the conversation. I've just had a number of requests for the manual transmission fascia for 80s and I know the plastic tooling is out of sight, cost-wise, and aluminum casting is relatively cheap. And a bunch of mods could be added for things like extra gauges and a real strong cup holder! Just an idea.... Come to think about it even the slush box cruisers might drool over a console with a couple of big cup holders integrated into it.That is quite a large piece for 3d build.
Im getting this, just trying to decide which light. Do you know if that DD light was plug and play Toyota?Make 19 V3: Fog Light Mount (Diode Dynamics SS3)
I've collaborated with Mike @98hundy on the development of a foglight mount for Diode Dynamics SS3. Today, he received the prototypes and I have some pictures to share.

you might look at OEM Toyota 55521-16030I might be one of very few interested in it, but a 100 series radio delete plate or even a storage cubby would be cool.
I rarely use the radio in any of the cars I drive, and the reman unit that's in my '99 LX is toast, again.
