The only thing I don't like about round switches, and this is purely a personal thing. They're impossible to get perfectly straight, and my OCD goes bananas.

I agree. I would have thought these would have a flat spot, but no. Would have made life a lot easier lol.
I wish there was a Carling Contour version that was about 25% smaller. I've got eight switches in one spot, and they eat up an acre of real estate

Continuing on the console.
Front panel.
Sides
Digging the look so far.
New switch and cup holder mount.
Switch panel test fit.
Lid is about the perfect height.
I get some bad ideas sometimes lol. Still quite a bit of work ahead, but this should turn out well.

I ended up adding 2 switches to the main panel, and my transmission shift stuff right next to the transfer case shifters.
Started on air ducting.
Some filler panels done.
Secondary switch panel.
Liking the look with the new atlas knows.
Need to finish the sides, but that's another weekend.
Power steering cooler showed up as well, another thing to do.

More console work. Trying to get the main panels finished and ready so I can pull it out and get all the finishing work done after work during the week.
Passenger side front panel. This will have the door to get access to the empty space under the console.

It has cutouts for a shifter mount that sticks out and an OBD II port.
I started digging into the wiring a bit. Picked up a new toy a while ago for this. @sogncab
This thing is super nice. Prints on heat shrink.
And because I am a literal child I added in some special shapes lmao.
It really ties everything together.

Started on all the small finishing panels
Tcase shifters
8l90 shifter.
It's a weird shaped lip around the whole thing.
3rd attempt got it right. It's a strange compounding curve to the back.
Folded up the ring.
I got all the mounting tabs for the sides done as well, but that's boring.
Everything pulled out for final welding and finishing of the little, time consuming bits.
One thing that ended up being easier than the rest was the ducting to the rear of the console.
I used some 2.5" alu tubing scraps to make flanges to bolt on and hook the ducting.
I picked up this mini tubing bead roller a while ago, it does super well on stuff like this.
End result.
Flanges made.
Welded out.
They fit super well and should make this a lot easier.
