I also am working on a super secret little factory bolt on 15" wheel.

I'm happy with them.

One side tacked, it will get fully welded when I pull the cage and fully weld.

With light switch and dome light in.

Crutchfield has these little rubber hat shaped things for speakers to go behind. The sound quality will be much improved over just free airing them into the cabin

I have em :) they'll be used for sure!

Got a bit more done today. I belive I have 19 days left to get this interior done and back together before SAS.

Rear speaker mounts for a 6.5" speaker.

First attempt came up a bit short.

Next ones were a bit better.

Anyways, hopefully the cage will come out next week for full welding and paint.

Let me know what you guys think.

you're an animal dude. Wild

If I may make a recommendation for the future, I have found it super worthwhile to buy actual weld-nuts on Mcmaster Carr vs just welding regular hex nuts to stuff. They're cheap, like pack of 50 for $15 or something like that. Those plus matching counter-sink screws to center the weld-nut in the hole before welding will just take it up a notch even higher.

My M6s are weld nuts, but I like the countersunk screws. I'll have to see if I can find a die to sink those. That would be really nice.

The only possible thing to critique IMO would be to hide that little mounting tab to the inside since it’s easily accessible with the speaker removed. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I was thinking about that. I'll do that when I pull the cage out.

Ok, I need some help.

What do I do for center console color. I want to powerdercoat it purely out of simplicity, and the fact that it is way cheaper to do and will probably hold up better to usage.

Here are some sample colors I baked today, both high and low light.

I can't find a color that is super similar to Nardo in a powercoat line, so I'm not entirely sure what to do.

I could do the main body in a gray, with some black and blue accents, so do I do a black body with gray and blue accents, or do I keep trying to get a better match?

Let me know what you all think.

Also, teal topcoat over chrome is a pretty good match for king anodized blue.

Any thoughts on upholstery?

To me the furthest right one looks the most complimentary. But that's on a screen not in person

Upholstery is going to stay mostly black vinyl with gray and blue accents.

The color is a bit more blue but I'm thinking I add some black and darken it up a smidge.

I’d go with an accent color—something that doesn’t match the body color. The signal gray or 50/50 look great.
