I really like how this cage is turning out.

Loving the cage! You are giving me some great ideas. The idea that I like the best is having you come over here in a few months, and bring your bender. Ha.
What bender are you using with what die? What size tube are you using for your A pillar?
This looks like a nice bender. I’m thinking about replacing my bender and I’m looking at this or the JD2. Would you get the same radius dies or would you go with 4.5”?That sounds like a good idea lol.
I'm running my Rouge Fab M625 bender for all of this. Material is 1.75" .120 wall on a 6.5" CLR die.

Great bender for this. Highly recommend, but it is a bit expensive. Super user friendly with the clamp blocks and repicablility though.

I am just guessing but I think DJ knows a place that has some Toyota parts . I could be wrong though .What about bending and beating steel into place to make a steel upper dash pad that isn't actually connected to the dash? Upholster that, so it's slightly less skull crushing and you're not losing much space?
You could get creative with interior lighting and be able to mount things to it as well.
The Toyota dash pad is mediocre quality at best and expensive AF anyways.

I've often thought about mountain the cage to the dash next to the glove box and speedometer. I might do that someday myself. Do whatever you want though despite what other people say.
