Its spring break, so lots of time to keep rolling.

Starting on upper coilover brackets.

Spent about 1/2 the day coaxing a truck and trailer up the drive. Ended up with a stout in the shop, though.

Lower coilover brackets.

I'm not a super big fan of the amount of drop i have for the coilovers, but i'm not into the floor yet, and I doubt I'll be finding them on rocks with how close to the tire they are.

Plenty of space for spings.

Tucks well.

Good wheel well clearance.

Got these fellers cut out to finish boxing out the coilover mounts.

Poped the s***ty diff armor and prepped the rear for paint. I'll either be making some new armor, or getting the ballistic fab one if they ever get it back in stock.

Started on the upper front link mount. Have to move it for oil filter clearance.

Frame side.

Axle side.

A little fish plate for the frame.

Didn't see that one coming when I mounted the compressor. I guess I'll be moving the bump stop today.

Upper link tucks nicely now.

It basically touches the motor mount at full compression

Front axle fell out and got prepped for paint.

Decided to clean up some hacks on the frame today and get bumps moved around.

I think i was the angry beaver here.

Cleaned up.

Made a little plate to cover that one up.

New passenger side bump mount.

Hot glued on.

Driver side.

Started masking axles for paint.

Cold, but warm enough to paint lol.

Captured a JP in the wild lol. Baited in with a prepped axle.

Makeshift booth for the frame. It worked pretty well, actually.

One coat wonder lmao.

Ended up running to the shop yesterday to get paint mixed. Ended up going with body colored links. Should look really nice contrasting all the black on the bottom.

Axles back in.

I'll tell ya what, PPG delfleet does not like curing in the cold, even with the fastest reducer and harder.

Anyways, drug everything back inside, should be hard enough to install tomorrow.

Rear

Measuring for bumps

Setting up rear coilovers.

Coilovers in.

No preload, sitting about 2" low.

Loving the body color links.

2" of preload solved the rear sitting low.

Lowered my frame about an 1.5" now sitting at 19" to bottom of frame.

Rear coilovers look nice.

Need to do sway bars and rear bumps, then tcase shifters, a little plumbing, and exhaust. Maybe cruise moab ready?

Do You think you will run into coil bind with that much preload?

I doubt it, it really isn't that much preload for those shocks. I had about 3-4" on my fronts with the SBC and never had any issues.

They give you about 8" -10" of threaded body to play with.
