Last 5% of the build is 90% of the time lmao
Personally, I don't like to obscure the beautiful front look of an FJ40.
I say yes to side tubes. That bumper has quite a lot of visual mass so the gap between the top of the bumper and the fenders may look a bit off when viewed from the front. The side tubes will fill that space.
Another vote for side tubes. How about making them a little taller?

Well, lots of small stuff done today.
Tons of lose stuff tied up and ready for exhaust.
Got the intercooler loop filled and burped.

Started filling the rad and found this:
I'll find a hose that works tomorrow. Hopefully I can find a u similar to that.
Took a customer rig home for diagnosis of a vibration at highway speeds. Probably need to clock the rear axle and weld on new perches for better driveline angles.

Had a nice drive back in the test drive 40.
I'm really bad at taking pictures when busy, so not many lol.
Had a few shop shenanigans. 1HZ fúcks with an open header lmao.
Got the rad filled up and bled, same with power steering.
Finally managed to do this.
Trying to get exhaust done asap, everything should be here soon. Maybe cruise moab ready. Need to diagnose the no throttle situation, hoping its just a bad calibration on the pedal.

Failed cocain drop.
I think that was sitting under the lean to when I picked my cruiser up.
I've almost asked J what the story was with that thing a few times. I need a 70 wagon in my life. I don't know if I could figure out right hand drive though. Pretty sure I'd dick up something simple in traffic, and end up very dead as a consequence.

Trying to get the no throttle situation worked out. Cant get my hp tuners chip to read the ecm and register credits on my computer, seeing them on my account, though. No idea what to do, seems like a common problem back in 2018 though. Am susposed to do a session with my tuner tomorrow to try and work that out.

So the hp chip is most likely bad. Won't read any running cars, same error every time. Started a support ticket, but since the chip is older than a year, they probably won't cover or replace. I ordered the new MPVI3, so another 500 down the drain when I still have 2 credits on the MPVI2. Pretty annoyed right now.
