It’s the same old welder. I’ve been looking for a replacement but I haven’t found anything yet. I thought that 1/2” was overkill!Better get some 5/8 bolts if you using the same welder![]()

DJ helped me with the cage and I don’t recall which software that he used. @DangerNoodle?Looking back at some you your earlier posts, went to pages 65 and 66 to look at your roll cage. Did you use BendTech to design the cage or just take some measurements and go with it?

He used software on the a pillar and top. I don’t recall what was used on day two as DJ had me busy with the welder. He kept slinging tube my way and I kept welding it in! It was by far the best progress that I have made in a short amount of time with this project.
Thanks! I can’t wait to remove the cage so that I can sand and paint. It’s turning out really nice! Those tube gussets really finish it off nicely. Looks great!
I am building a new bumper and tire carrier. I am tired of moving my spare around on the floor so it’s time to get it on the back of the Cruiser.I like it but what am I looking at? My only guess is swing away bumper but not sure…
ETA second guess, you’re building a new bumper over the original?
I’m nervous…I sent you a motivational video tonight on Insta![]()
I’m glad to hear this as I’ve had a few different tire carrier spindles on this Cruiser and they both failed. I had a large bolt with some hokey box that I created around the last pivot point that worked for 25 years, but it looked terrible. This Ruffstuff spindle looks legit.I used the RuffStuff spindles on mine and they have been trouble free for my 35. Real sturdy. Gas struts for the final touch.
