These lights look high quality! Have you used their products?
My relative used to be a vendor for them. I'm not much of a auxiliary light guy personally. It's always pretty far down on my list. They have a good reputation though and my relative liked them. They also have a clean look. I think you can buy pod mounts for the little for lights via 3rd party somewhere online. I would say they are above average quality. The auxbeam in my opinion are probably mid quality. Rigid is probably at the top with KC being somewhere up around there.

Thanks for the info! I haven’t purchased off road lights in a very long time and I stripped all of that stuff off probably 15-20 years ago but for some reason I really wanted to put a few back on it.

I’ll see how these Auxbeam lights do for the meantime and I’ll bookmark your post so I can remember your recommendation when it’s time to get the light bar. I’m thinking a short, 20-25” bar on the front bumper might be nice for nighttime driving. Their dome and rock lights look pretty good quality, too. And I can’t forget the rear pods. 😁

It looks so good Mike, great job. What style cage are you thinking?

Also I am planning for lights on my fenders too. Here’s a couple options I was thinking,

The other cool option would be early fj40 round lights, they are stock looking and would fit nicely.

4” rigid 360, looks big in the picture but would fit the fender nicely.

Thanks! Those are slick lights.

I will build a 6 point cage with both rear tubes angled backward sort of like a fastback style, but not too steep of an angle. I’ll probably do that towards the beginning of the year.

Cooling
The radiator arrived and it decent. The welds on my fuel tank are much cleaner but I don’t really care. It’s wide and those brushless Spal fans should keep this thing at the right temperature. I’ll modify the factory stand this weekend and it should be ready for a test drive by Sunday!

Its been a few hours, really hope you're either editing vids, or having a problem posting the tire break in videos you got this evening.... lol

Ha! There won’t be any tire break in videos. I have to modify the radiator stand to clear the steering shaft, then make mounts for my condenser and a cross brace, then it’s ready for paint. I’m hoping to have it installed on Sunday. There is still a ton to do before I can take it for a spin. My clearance issues set me back a day but that’s okay. It’s a tight fit.

I just had to simply widen the 40 radiator mount to fit the new one in, but then spent 2 days trying to get the power steering pump to clear it and fit with everything else. That was frustrating.
Yours is looking great, everything’s coming together nicely!

Looks great. The lights actually look at home.

And those tires 😍😍
Thanks! The lights and tires are my favorite addition so far…maybe in part because I bolted them on. Ha. I really like how it’s coming together.

Yeah, I hear that. I just spent an entire day trying to get the condenser to fit. I finally snuck it in there, but I was not able to get the dryer to fit in the intended location from vintage air. I’ll have to figure something out at a later time for that.

I just did the final test fit and everything looks good. I’m getting ready to pull everything out disassemble and prep for paint. I should be back on track to have this thing running tomorrow.

Here are a few more pictures of the progress today. The radiator is in and the fans are wired. All I have to do is put the hoses on, fill it up with antifreeze, tie up the wiring and it’s ready to go but I have to stop to remove carpet and baseboards to get ready for flooring inside of the house.

Take a look at the condenser on the front of the radiator and see how I moved it over to the left. The left side is essentially sitting exactly where Vintage Air would have intended it to be on the radiator stand, which gives you a good idea on the right side as to how much bigger that radiator is than the factory one.

It’s tight in there, like a brand new car

It’s my last day off and I couldn’t sleep. I got up at 3 am and started knocking out the wiring. Fans and pods are wired!

The flooring folks are coming soon, so it’s time to finish removing the molding and carpet inside the house, then I’ll hop back on the Cruiser to hook up hoses and fill with antifreeze…and possibly take it for a spin!!

First picture is of the parking lights. Second is the fog lights. The turn signals are halfway between the two modes.

I took it for a spin this afternoon! I got about five blocks away before it got to 225°F and the Spal fans are not working. I have power to them, which is being triggered through 2 40 amp relays by my PCM. I am not using the Spal wiring harness/sensor and I did not hook the yellow wire up as recommended. I hooked the white wire up to power. I also tried hooking the white wire to ground with no difference. Any ideas?

Looks great outside . As far as the fans they should work with just power and ground i would think ? I know with my sniper it works as a ground . so i run a hot to the fan and when i hit a certain temp the wire from the sniper grounds and the fan comes on . Kinda backwards from how i think
