I purchased this vehicle in 2014, It was originally a Wyoming truck, It had 119K Miles on the odo at the time. It now has 140K, still super low miles. It was always a very clean representation of a classic Fj62, however the paint was rough, had a couple dents and minor rust on the quarters. I took it off road a couple times on some light trails with the local land cruiser club. I then decided to restore it. It looks beautiful now. but it is still a very capable rig.
Restoration took roughly 2.5 years. Owens Body shop in Baton Rouge did the body...

But this rig has spent its entire life on Long Island. At first glance she looks pretty clean. Seller (flipper) discloses that "Chassis, wheels and wheel wells prepped, POR15'd and painted flat black"
Pics show some other cover-up type stuff.
Door corners are rusting. Paint bubbling elsewhere.
This truck may not have been driven much, but spending decades in close proximity to the ocean took its toll.
I think she's got the cancer really bad.
Be aware of what you are getting yourself into and don't simply fall in love with a low odo.

We’ve decided to sell most of our earthly possessions and purchase an expedition RV (unimog) and go for an around the world bid over the next 18 months with my wife and three young kids. As such, I’m listing our 60 for sale.
It’s a 1983, 150,000+\- miles, runs beautifully, mostly stock. It has a new billet radiator, replaced hoses and parking brake cable. I have the stock carb that was rebuilt and tuned by JimC, along with all the bits to desmog though that hasn’t been done yet.
I bought it from the original owner in IL 4 years ago, sight unseen, and drove it 1800 miles home back to UT. It drives straight and runs right along just great. I’ve made several long distance trips since then and wouldn’t hesitate to drive...

The original paint is is good condition besides small rock chipping. Bodywork and undercarriage has only cosmetic rust except a spot on the hatch and behind both rear fenders (shown well in photos)
The upholstery is in great condition except some wear and tear on the drivers seat bolster. All interior and dash buttons, switches, levers, and knobs work. Even the window motors are still running strong. Aftermarket stereo, speakers, Kicker amp, and anti-theft alarm.
Replaced in the last 1000 miles:

Muffler
The truck has 308,000 miles on it. When I bought it from my father in law, it has 267,000 miles and a blown motor. The little plug on the side of the motor had popped out and drained it. I replaced the motor and the transmission myself, plugged the little oil plug on the new motor. The motor and transmission had 140,000 miles on it. I have records with those exact details (Serial Numbers, etc) if you want to see it.
The truck badly needs shocks and a paint job and has a main seal leak. Other cosmetic issues are a cracked dash and ripped up driver's seat upholstery. Otherwise, the truck runs well and is relatively clean.

With a pending cross-country relocation, the time has come, reluctantly, to sell our beloved 1983 FJ60 "Big Red." It has 157k original miles with several new parts in the last 2-3 years, including OME suspension kit, air conditioning, brakes, clutch, knuckles ... Too much to list. All work has been done by Peter Merriam at Merriam Automotive in Duluth, GA.
There is rust on the body, primarily around the rain gutters in the roofline.
It is a very reliable daily driver.
Price is $5,000 firm. Not interested in parting out.
