Found it. Turned out to be the solar panel cables I have running down the inside of the snorkel. I guess it only happened now cause of the increased air velocity causing just enough cavitation to make them slap around. Turned out to be a 5 minute fix. Sorry about mucking up the thread with it

This sounds like a problem I would have... spend hours trying to diagnose a problem with a project I did myself, wracking my brain over the issue, only to discover it was a minor problem with a completely DIFFERENT thing I did myself. 😆

I drive my "Black Hole" today up to see @lelandEOD and back home. About 90 miles round trip, with some pretty good grades to negotiate.

The @Cruisers and Co turbo and intercooler make it such a fun truck to drive, especially at highway speeds. It's still crazy to me, 4-5 months in, to be running in the fast lane passing people in my big heavy 80. I can't wait to get the A750 swap done!

Can someone contact me about my order ive emailed called pm'ed it really frustrating that no one answers the phone spoke to Scott yesterday about my order/ missing parts said he would look into it and email me today crickets.

Couple of install notes and pictures so far. 1) Pull the front driveshaft, the J-pipe slides right into position, and leaves plenty of room do drill the oil pan for the return drain. I was lucky, my exhaust nuts came off without any drama and the studs are reusable. 2) There is a baffle in the upper oil pan that worried me when drilling the holes. I managed to work a rag up there to help catch some of the flakes. Even with using grease on the bits, you will still have chips fall and sit in on top of some castings inside. I'm confident that I was able to clean all the particulate out with the use of a can of brake clean, brush and my fingers. Still made me nervous. 3) Gently massaging the the coolant tube to clear the turbo was easy with a few taps with a dead blow mallet and some wood. 4) Can we appreciate how good the J-Pipe and down pipe look? The welds and fitment are excellent!

Just an update to my 93 obd1 stage 2 Turbo:

Drove up to the Sierras 175miles to camp for the memorial weekend and recorded 13.2mpg. Staying within 65mph and holding 70mph on mountain passes. The drive home, I got 12.9mpg.

Before the Turbo i was averaging 12mpg w/315s and 4.88 to the same camping destination.

37s, 4.88- just me and the pup.

Driving from Carson City (Reno) over I-80 to Manteca was glorious with some @Cruisers and Co forced induction. Our group set out at 0500 this morning and didn't look back. Set the cruise at 70-75 and let it eat all the way up the hill. Never slowed down. Never struggled. Was able to pass effortlessly. As we made our way down to sea level it just got better. Boost comes on instantly and the power is seemingly endless. I am of the opinion that that if some is good, more is better. Johnny has this s*** dialed!

If you're on the fence, get off. Get your credit card out, and call @Cruisers and Co

You will NOT regret it.
