Well I have decided to put up my FJ60 for Sale.
Time to pass it on and just go a different route. As much as I enjoy driving these rigs. I need to move on too different things.
So here it goes.
84 FJ60, original brown w/pinstripe.
Paint is faded. Some areas of paint the clear is peeling.
It has a few dents on the passenger side. And rear tailgate.
NO RUST!
Interior is in great shape.
No tear on the drivers side. All seat belts are intact.
228,128k miles on the engine.
I drive it everyday.
Would drive it cross the U.S. In a heartbeat.

Hi there. New to this forum and looking to get into my first 60. Found one locally and hoping those with more expert eyes can tell me what they see here, both condition wise and price wise.
My goals are to find a driver that I can slowly bring back to life. I am not terribly mechanically inclined but I can do some basic work. I realize this one has some concerning panel rust but the seller who is a family friend looked it over carefully with me on the phone and said the frame is in solid condition and there is no rust on the roof/gutters. Also, this one has been in MT all its life. Thanks in advance for the help.

I'm looking for a later model, 84-87 FJ60, a truck that can be enjoyed and driven daily, fixed and updated along the way. I would like to spend under 10K, but that is negotiable pending vehicle condition and modifications. I'm located in San Antonio, Tx, willing to travel <1000 miles to pick up.
I prefer tan, white, silver, brown, sub 200k miles if possible. Looking for a dependable weekend cruiser to explore the world. Reliable enough to get me to the country and back, family and dogs included.

Buddy of mine selling his '88 FJ62 - Basically stock - 213K miles - Asking $16K. It has not gone up on Ebay or CL yet. I'm sure he'd be willing to work out deal. He doesn't get to drive it that much and it's a shame to see it sit. Some surface rust on frame, body is is good shape.

First time poster, I've been looking for a FJ60 for about a year, used to have a 80 CJ7, I have 3 dogs and a toddler, so I've been looking for something bigger and family oriented.
I need your seasoned opinions on this 60, I've been looking for a while and this one just popped up. It seems to be mechanically sound. Owner states rust is only on the body, The back R window cancer spot worries me. Owner says it's desmogged with a weber carb, and he would drive it to Cali with no worries. Odometer is questionable (not sure if this will make it hard to inspect/title). I'm gonna drive up tomorrow and check it out. I have not driven a 60 yet, I've been looking for about a year, what do you guys think?

Have a very clean FJ60 that I am selling since I don't drive it much at all anymore. It has a
chevy 350 crate motor/700r/Bad Ass adapter then Stock TC. It also uses the stock length
drive shafts. This FJ60 is super clean and been babied since the V8 conversion was done.
Cruiser has tons of power and drives so well in over drive. No issues climbing hills or mountain
overpasses. I will now list all the new parts I have put on since I have had it. Will list the mileage when
I get home today, can't remember it.

Very reliable Silver Toyota Land Cruiser HJ60 with 2H diesel engine. Runs excellent, cold starts easily, regular oil changes, has lots of power, automatic that shifts crisp. Mechanically excellent, perfect expedition adventure vehicle. Has Air Conditioning, but does not get that cold. Comes equipped with Old Man Emu lift kit, OME anti inversion shackles, ARB front bumper, as new Warn winch, good brakes, good electrical, working front and rear heaters, above average interior, body has typical rust, lower rocker dent, original paint, needs new tires, never any accidents, frame rusty but not through and she was fully insured until a month or so ago as weekend driver. 1983 Toyota 4wd Land Cruiser HJ60. Has the original 6 cylinder 4Liter DIESEL engine and original 5 SPEED transmission. (Both fairly rare to find especially together) It runs and drives very well. It has no leaks. The four wheel drive works great (locking hubs). All doors and windows work fine. It’s riding on 31x10.50’s. I also have the original steel rims (not shown). I believe all original chrome decals are still on the truck as well. The interior is nearly flawless. The carpet is brand new and the seats are like new except for one medium sized tear on the driver side seat edge. It’s got a new glow plug system, new valve cover gasket (because I had the timing perfected), new tie rods, and will be putting on new shocks unless it sells...

Purchased from Washington State about a year ago, had the vehicle brought to Land Cruiser shop to have a restoration done.
Mileage on OD shows 179600, however last recorded mileage according to Carfax was 208k in 2006. I do not have the story on the mileage discrepancy however the motor is running very strong.

I'm tired of chasing rust on my otherwise clean '86 FJ. I know - join the crowd. Can anyone help a brother out?
Looking to purchase an automatic FJ with miles on the lower end, sub-200,000. Prefer white, tan, silver or warm grey. Original is fine but must be in really good condition, I am not looking for a project but not looking for an ICON rebuild either.
Went by a local dealership today to see this 88 fj62. They had a deposit on it but seems like the buyer flaked our. Now I’m sitting here trying to convince the wife that I need another car before we move cross country to Denver in a few months.
Anyways, it’s pretty clean and I think can be had a what I believe to be a decent price. It was lisited on their website for 15k but I have little doubt that 10k would take it.
Pros: it’s really clean and largely original. Engine bay was clean with smog equipment still in place.
Cons:
# The suspension sits flat in the front
# power steering pump wines but steering overall without a ton of slop
# blower for heat/ac seems out but may just be the cb
# only real rust seemed to be in the back...
