My FJ60 near Washington DC - SOA PROJECT -CHEAP!
I need to sell my (project!) 1986 Land Cruiser. It’s lived in 3 garages over 3 moves and I suppose it’s time to sell her as a project. Asking $4400 obo. It started up and drove to its current home but will not start now. I think it really needs a carb rebuild. I’ve owned it for close to 15 years and it’s never been done. I’m going to try and be as clear and transparent as possible here. It’s a project but not something super far gone. Many on this forum could have her back on the road/trail in a few days. Unfortunately I am not one of those people! Recent work: Not much! New battery a couple months ago Replaced alternator with a used one Water pump and belts replaced less than 10k ago I bought the axles off of a rolled SOA truck...
Louisville Kentucky 1988 Toyota Landcruiser FJ62 $4500 Cash talks
1988 Toyota FJ62 land cruiser -Odometer shows 225k -I recently bought with plans to trail rig it, and then part it out but I figured I’d give it a chance to be live on before doing that. -The body is rusty. It’s as bad as it looks and I’m trying to hide nothing. -The frame is surprisingly very solid, I put it through the hammer test. The floor seems good aswell, anything structural seems A1. The interior looks about x10 better than body, and the paint (where it has is it) is in good shape -It runs well, the exhaust is essentially nonexistent. -Non functioning radio/AC/and PS -needs General TLC and obviously a lot of body repair -Good tires -It runs and drives, 4wd seems to function as it should. -Retains a clean title Asking...

Blue 1985 (09/1985) FJ60 with 163,020 miles as of 2/2/2019. (Sadly this isn’t the truck from the cover of the Jan/Feb 2019 Toyota Trails magazine) I am still driving it so the ODO will slowly tick up. I purchased this stock 60 in 2014 with 151K on it in SoCal. I moved to Norther VA mid-2015 and have slowly picked away things over the years. I drive a few cars but certainly consider this a daily driver. I routinely will take it to DC/Richmond from my house in a NoVA and it hums along at 65mph without issue if I-95 allows. 4H/4L work as they should. This has been a great truck but I’m moving later this year and am looking to shrink the size of my vehicle fleet. I also am contemplating dipping my toes in the 80/450 universe. The truck has...
Must sell asap: 60 series HJ61
I've taken a job overseas. Read this: I must sell my truck by December 22nd. Today is the 14th. Be fast on your feet and call me. I've put a contact # at the bottom. I imported it myself, I'm the only owner. You can import it to the US! Location: Vancouver, BC. Truck: 1989 HJ61, 12HT. H55 Manual 5spd. No lockers 265,000KMs. Has manual turbo adjust, boost and EGT gauges. Pulls hard, and doesn't get hot. OME heavies. New shocks and steer stabilizer. Everything works. The bluetooth radio is new. It's almost a daily driver. Buy it, and drive away. Running condition is excellent. No funny business: no leaks, no grinds, no ticks, no clanks no thuds. Shifts great, engages in 4wd great. Alternator brushes got done last week. All fluids...
Not my truck... Just curious if anyone has noticed this one. Dude seems to be embellishing a bit. At his price, he should be fixing the paint damage before the sale, not telling me how easy it will be to get fixed. 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 Lifted Mint Condition https://www.ebay.com/itm/1984-Toyota-Land-Cruiser-/113603347852?_trksid=p2385738.m4383.l4275.c10 I like his claim of all original with the Pioneer stereo in the dash and paint damage..... GLWS.
'83 FJ60, SE Wyoming
Sold EDIT (01/26) After talking with a couple fellas who recently sold their FJ60s, and sending the 4.88 third members (were not installed yet) to a friend the vehicle and additional parts are as follows... Have to sell my beast and move onto something a little easier to haul the kiddos in. It is priced under what I would part it out for ($$ => very solid 2F, good tranny, OME lift, good interior, 6 fresh tires, and axles turning those tires with ease). Won't part it out, don't have room to park it for that. It needs to be driven away to a loving home. Asking $4300 This is a '83 FJ60 with 189K miles and a bunch of work done to it. Not a perfect one, but a great trail rig and has been very solid for me. I have done some work, some was...
I have had a post in the 80s classifieds looking for a partial 80 series trade but would also consider a partial trade for a 60 or 62 series that is rust free and with a clean body. I would prefer it runs and drives but it just depends on the 60. I have a very modified 1965 removable top swb fj45 that I selling in the link below. I am also open to partial trades. The 45 is not for everyone so if it is not to your liking, there is no need to tell me. forum.ih8mud.com/threads/built-1965-swb-fj45.1088958/
Pristine 1983 FJ60 aka: Cream Puff - TEXAS
Okay.... this is an opportunity to purchase (what I feel) is one of the best examples of an unmolested, low mileage, rust-free 60-Series Land Cruiser in the country. I’m moving on to other Land Cruiser projects, and I need to raise some capital and clear some garage space for my next project. I’ll be listing this on BaT soon, but wanted to offer it here on Mud first. This way my fellow Mudders can avoid the transaction fees associated with BaT. Anyone that knows me or has seen this Cruiser knows that it is near perfect. Both mechanically and cosmetically. This cruiser turns heads everywhere and is ready to drive across town, across the mountains, or across the country. It has earned the moniker “Cream Puff” due to its pristine...
1989 Land Cruiser - I was PO
Hi Everyone, I am interested in locating and buying my old Land Cruiser: 1989 Land Cruiser - Grey. I sold it in 2012 or 2013 to this guy from RockStarMotorCars in Nashville, TN. They did a re-paint and fixed a few small issues it had. Not sure when it sold but I do have the VIN, I could run a Carfax and that will at least tell me where it was titled. Any other ideas? Here is a picture of when I had it and then after they received it and started the re-paint.
1989 Toyota Land Cruiser HJ61 - $22k
I bought this vehicle in October 2016. It currently has 170k miles. It already had the old man emu lift and tires. I don't use it as a daily driver. Its a right hand drive turbo diesel that was imported from Japan. It has the 12H-T motor and an automatic transmission. All the mechanical work has been done at State Automotive, a well known Land Cruiser shop here in Utah. I have receipts for almost everything I've done to the vehicle. I'm sure I'll forget a few things but the list below should give you an idea. Mechanical Work Rebuild front knuckles New radiator New thermostat New hoses New fan clutch New water pump New batteries New battery cables & terminal ends 3' exhaust Tachometer repair Transfer case re-build New transmission...
