Hey gang. So, continuing themaint on the daughters FJ62 and we need new front seatbelt. She was invaded by a bear this winter and along with the damaged pass seat back cushion, the driver seat belt is now broken. I’ve read through a few other threads and perhaps SeatbeltPlanet, Collectors Auto Supply, I see few options. I was wondering what there may be for after market or anything else. Better to have good working belts over questionable OEM. Would appreciate and ideas. I used to owna 1989 Forrunner and it’s seems a lot the same. Any chance we could mod those to fit, if I could even get ‘em?
Thanks all!

I have a grey interior with all the belts in good condition if you decide to that route I would give you a good deal.

I replaced all four of mine with SeatBeltPlanet belts and they've been great. As mentioned above they seemed to lock up early when first installed. It's been a year and it doesn't seem to happen as much any more.

Isn’t there a seat belt place that will rebuild the belts using all the old hardware? You send them the old ones and they remake everything with new belt material.
Swear I read that here somewhere awhile back.

I installed 79 series seat belts in the front, and 80 series belts in the back of my 62. Grey color matched nicely and lock up is good. Everything was bolt on easy (but I did convert the rears to shoulder belts).

I think @arnak did that with his current 62 build. White belts iirc.

Thanks gang! After some research, and talking to the wife about safety, we decided to go with simple and ordered for seatbeltplanet. A little higher price paid but I think we'll have greater confidence. I started looking into the LJ79 and FJ80 series you mentioned (great write up BTW) @red66toy. I like the idea of that but I got lazy and went the easy route.
Really appreciate the group!
