Haven't been on the forum in several years since I sold my 60 Series and have been patiently looking for another. Picked up a 100 Series this past weekend for a pretty good deal. It needs a few things like roof rack end covers and center caps for the wheels but the lifted rear end is something thats driving me crazy.

The previous owner recently put a set of Bilstein Shocks on it but says he didnt change the rear springs. With that said I'm assuming that it still has the original springs. I don't want to raise the front so whats the fix for getting the rear down just a bit so it sits more level? I searched the forums a bit before posting but I dindt see exactly what I was looking for.

It doesnt look nearly as bad in the pics as it does in person. (Also if anyone has any roof rack end covers let me knwo!)

Whats the measurements on each side from center of wheel hub to bottom lip of rear fender?

it looks higher than stock, did you check top of the springs to see if theres spacers?

is your 3rd row removed? spare tire intact?

From center of hub to fender lip is right at 23". I did check for spacers but theres none on there. The 3rd Row is removed and the spare tire is intact.

I believe stock is ~20.5" depending on if you have AHC or not. Without AHC I think it's a bit higher.

When I removed my third row it raised the height a little too. It seems like you may have aftermarket springs.. I don't know of a way to actually lower the height without buying some kind of springs made for lower weight ratings. Sorry if not much help but if you don't have spacers and the springs truely are stock, its hard to say why you're 2.5" higher than stock.

I think it looks good though, congrats on the new ride 👍

It has me thinking that the springs are aftermarket. I dont necessarily want to lower it back to stock height but I definitely dont want it this high in the rear end.

Now that I think of it, you can kind of check. Factory springs are black with either pink, white or purple paint dots on them. Each spring should have one dot that's a different color than the opposite spring's dot

edit:
A quick Google search says US spec LCs have bands on them, mine were dots

My Old Man Emu coils have tags/labels on them, I believe. Something else to check for.

Agree that you are def higher than stock.

Compared to a level 60, these rigs need some rake for the steering to work right.
Keep that in mind as you consider lowering the rear.

Or...add weight. lol!

Welcome to the 100!

Just got under it and it’ll look around and there is an OME 63 tag on one of them. So it looks like they’re old man emu but I’m not sure what the 63 is in reference to. Does this refer to the height and if so, are there some springs that they make that are a little shorter?

just buy OEM if youd like stock height

The springs arent typically shorter or longer, they are just rated for different weights. A high weight limit will lead to more height if you dont have that much weight added.

That being said, even with OEM your LC will sit a bit higher because it doesnt have 3rd row seats

That 63 should be a reference to "863" an OME coil spring. Info here.

I think there is a more comprehensive coil spring chart on MUD somewhere...

If I still have mine, I will! Let me check.

Yeah that should be easy to find, lol. I'm running OEM but only because the springs I want have been on back order for three months
