Austin, TX: 1987 FJ-60 Diesel Land Cruiser
I am selling my 1HZ-T powered 1987 FJ60 Land Cruiser. I bought this from @davegonz in Feb 2020, and it's been a fun ride. Saying Goodbye to My 60 Series, Lucy Liu
It’s with a heavy heart that I share some news — my 60 was totaled about a month ago. This was a truck I drove daily for over a decade, crossed the country in six times, and through which I had the pleasure of meeting many of you here. In the weeks since, after many conversations with @CenTXFJ60, @samc2447, @Rockymtnreaper , and @Kleatus , I made the difficult decision to let it go to the yard. Insurance wanted $10,000 if I chose to retain it. I had just spent the better part of a month installing a full Terrain Tamer suspension, sanding and painting the frame, and restoring it down to the Toyota nuts and bolts — even the brake line clips. It only needed a few more things to be finished, specifically some Trail Tailor crossmembers...
Restored '84 FJ60 on BaT
I just picked up a LC250 so had to list my FJ60 to support the habit. Mostly maintained by Iron Pig Offroad for the last 10 years. Full body restoration with glass-out paint 2020-22 (it was a custom job in a guy's garage so it took a long time, more info on that if you want it). Comprehensive records kept on it. I also have a bunch of OEM and SOR parts leftover from the resto.
I am looking for a FJ62 with Auto due to hip issues. I am in SC so hope to find one closer to me. I would like one that has been cared for which I know is difficult to find. Please call or text me at 803-445-5139 if you have anything. I have a 100 and just sold my 87 Toyota Pickup and 79 TA which was just too small for me after hip surgeries. While I have never had a 62, I am familiar with old Toyotas and Cruisers. So, I understand everything isn't going to be perfect in my budget range.

Hi all, I'm looking for an FJ60, preferably one already with an LS3 (EROD - California compliant is a must; no funny Montana business for me). If anyone has any leads or know where I should look other than the obvious sources, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm keeping tabs on BAT, CarsandBids, Hemmings, CL, FB Marketplace, eBayMotors, these forums, and Autotrader. Am I missing anything else? I signed up to be "notified" if/when Corsetti gets one in inventory but I have no idea whether they actually and regularly get cars in to be sold. I also realize the universe of candidates that I'd want is probably pretty small, so if I can't find one already done, I'm also open to finding an FJ60 and doing it myself (or, more accurately, sending...
1986 FJ 60
I purchased this '60 back in April of 2025, but with too many projects on my hand I need to make some space. Bought this for my wife a little over a year ago but she blames me for this choice and she originally wanted an FJ60 like our previous one. I have done a lot of work to make it a safe and reliable daily driver and to be able to trust my kids lives to its back seat on long trips down the highway.
