Been thinking about doing this for a few months and I guess it's time. I still can't believe I am doing this............
Tastefully built: 5 speed, 2.5 inch lift, beefed up suspension, headers, ARB, step bars, rear bar bumper, engine rebuilt at 200k, 220k now and runs perfect! Almost no rust on the truck and clean under the hood. Small oil leak, a dime on the drive after driving and that comes and goes. Only car to start when it was 23 below zero, pretty impressive actually. Normal tear in the driver seat, rest is is great shape. Clean in and out. Very nice truck! Hate to sell but I really don’t drive it, 3000 miles in the last 12 months. Just sits in the garage most of the time. No games, nice truck.

Many spelling and grammer mistakes in the description. The seller says it is a 1985, but it looks more like a FJ62 with the square headlights and larger mirrors?? Did BJ60's get square headlights before the US?
hey. in new to the forum and have loved landcruisers all my life. Right now i have a 1987 fj60. its in great shape. it is rust free. It has been my daily driver for the past 3 years. i have never had any major problems with it. since i have owned it i put a header on, its got new breaks, the tires are 32's and are almost brand new, i had it painted forrest green a little over a year ago, it has a roof rack that i made, and the ac compressor just got rebuilt. i am sure that i am forgetting something. i am asking $5000 and im open to all offers. i really want an fzj80 with leather i dont care about lockers. i dont have pics right now but i can sent them if your intrested.

SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD Selling an 84 FJ60, starts fine runs OK. I haven't driven this truck other than around the block. Missing the Aisin hubs and the front drievshaft. Tan with brown interior, over 200K miles. Gauges all seem to work as do the lights and wipers. This has had a BMW 4 headlight setup grafted on- looks terrible. This FJ60 has 154,000 miles with a newly rebuilt Chevy 250 inline, 6-cylinder engine (ported & polished) with a new harmonic balancer, an Offenhauser manifold and new Holley 4-barrel carburetor. The transmission is a new TCI 700R4 automatic transmission from Summit Racing and is cooled with new transmission oil cooler. A new Hurst rachet shifter (truck version) has been installed. Selling our 90 FJ62 with 173,000 miles. We have owned it for 9 years, daily driver for the first 7 of those. Nice and clean. A few spots on back hatch and below windshield where rust got under paint. I chipped paint back and applied por15 (shown in pictures).
The cruiser was perfect when purchased in 2000 but when they started using de-icer in our area a few years ago, it has discolored the wheels, bumper ends, etc.
4 speed auto w/overdrive, power windows & locks, AC blows cold, Kaymar rear bumper with receiver hitch ( also spindles and carriers for spare tire and jerry can not currently on), tubular front bumper with receiver, tires Goodyear Tracker 31s with 50% tread.

I bought my cruiser in 1997 in FL from the second owner. Was on a farm originally, was being used as a work truck. Has 128,000 miles on odo, although prior owner broke the speedo cable and estimated about 30K miles on it that were not recorded. I fixed the cable after purchase so all my miles are on there. At time of purchase I also had rust repaired throughout and a full paint job. Currently some rust has returned on the fenders.
Truck passed inspection in 2008 and again last week. On the Carfax it shows a fail in 2008; this was due to the rear passenger seatbelt not retracting (a nickel was rolled up in the belt). FYI, in Mass there is no emmissions test for a truck this age.

I have a 1988 Fj62, that i have to part ways with.
I am in chicago currently.
It needs some work, for sure. But most of the work is Body work. Rust, as you can see in the pictures is taking its toll on the body. Twas the way it was when i got it. and now that i'm moving i don't have the time or money to fix the body.
The rest is all stuff you gear heads love doin!! lol - needs new muffler, couple electrical gremilins, horn works when it wants too, could use some nice shocks/suspension work in the back, the brakes need a new vacuum pump thingy - forget what its called, but the brakes themselves are only a couple years old...

I am selling my beloved 82' cruiser. It runs perfect and has only 162,000 miles on it. There is VERY little rust and the panels are nice and straight.
I failed smog in dec 07' and applied for a state waiver, which they gave me untill Dec 09' It passed smog in 05'. According to my mechanic, it would need a carb overhaul. and maybe a cat convertor to pass Ca emissions.
I have repair and maintenence receipts. This belonged to my Aunt in NM before I got it in 05' since then I have replaced:

-less than 2k miles on new tires (Wranglers)

Im currently looking to buy a fj60 (or possible a 62). I have about 4000 to spend and Im hoping to find a rig that could be somewhat of a daily driver, little or no lift, manual transmission and power stearing. It doesnt have to pretty - I actually prefer a bit of "character" - I care more about the engine condition. i need something that can me back and forth to snoqualmie pass (about an hour drive from seattle) once or twice a week.
My ex got my XTERRA and I just got dooped out of a sweet 84 FJ60 and Im totally bummed!

Really great 1988 Landcruiser FJ62. Belongs to my uncle who's been a toyota mechanic for over 30 years and still running his shop in Stanton, CA. He purchased the vehicle back in 1993 from one of his customers. Has been driving 8 miles rounds trips to and from work everyday. Never took it on any trips and also never towed anything. NEVER OFF-ROADED or modded.

This is a 1984 FJ60 with 174,000 miles. It was hit pretty hard in the rear and will have a salvage title. It is solid and very clean. I have been fixing stuff on it for the last couple months and it has been desmogged, optima battery excellent interior, no cracks in the dash and a new powersteering pump. The paint has been reshot and is an OK paint job. The DS quarter is repairable and the bumper needs replacement. The frame is tweaked a bit in the back and the body a little bit too. The front bumper is MIA- I gave away another bumper a couple months ago.. OOPS. Found a tiny spot of rust by the gutter. 88 FJ62 Toyota Landcruiser. 218xxx miles. Loaded. Power Windows, power doorlocks. Has 3" lift with 33 x 9.50 swamper(5) 75% tread left. Some rust in common areas (rear quater pannels, rockers).
Rear Aussie locker, Front not installed (new). New alternator. Comes with new longfeild axles.
I just did a tune up on it (air filter,plugs, plug wires, distributor rotor and cap)
A lot of new parts come with it (bearings, seals, bets, tie rods ends,) Has some rust but not bad, runs and drives great and has a clear Ohio title.
1985 fj60 with 242,000 miles on it. Previous owner said it was rebuilt at 200,000 or so. We've owned it since 2003 at 211,000 miles.
