Sweet! V8s belong in 60 series rigs in my opinion. I do ok with my 2f in my 40, but I don't know how people can handle f series power in a 60 or 62 series. Is it a 4.8 or 5.3 or bigger? Do you have emissions where you are? Got any pics of the longfield carnage?3FE for sale with 800 miles on it.

Matt why don’t you simplify things and reduce your labor (future) by upgrading your axles? Will eliminate any frustrating downtime on the trail as well. Look forward to seeing the V-8 build.
Oh yeah, got some other neat parts too.
Looks like some replacement spring hangers in there. Are they designed to go with stock springs/location?
Awesome Matt. I have great respect for your thought process and determination. BTW...I’m still saving the rear sill section for you. No rush as it’s in a good place. I still need to cut all the other good metal (what’s left) before I recycle the body. You’re right, however stock axles seem to keep falling in my lap??
When I have the $700 sitting around...
4:1 transfer case gears are higher on the list, but with the V8 I might not need them.
I also need a wiring harness, ECU, intake manifold, and accessories for the V8. Also shocks for the SOA. So there’s a few bucks there too.
I’d also really like a selectable rear-locker, a fridge, a new winch motor and synthetic line, etc. It adds up!!
On a side note, I’ve gotten very fast at swapping them out, less then an hour easily. I did one at GSMTR in a half-hour.

Let's see if this works..
You had some nice articulationYep. Totally changed the way I wheel. Although I need to cut grind out all the welds and redo them now that I have a higher powered machine in my home shop. I have a plan for a belly pan that acts as a gusset for them as well, they deflect a little bit.
