Howdy Gents-pretty much what the title says. I noticed some wetness around the back of the injection pump and on the oil filter housing. I found the diagram on Partsouq but there doesn't appear to be a part to replace. Maybe I just need to snug...
Greetings from Oman!
I’m a Canadian that has a home in Tsawwassen,BC. I have a 1981 bj42 and 1985 BJ70. I’ve known Steve from EBI in Port Coquitlam for years and I’ve had my 1981 in the odd car show. —->for any of you are wondering who this...
No, but @sogncab has offered to *ahem* address the proliferation of bunnies. The chipmunks are free game though! 😅
Absolutely! Not fancy, but mighty friendly. 😁
It's a ton of fun Curtis as long as the heater works and you have some decent rain gear. I've done it several times but keep the doors on. Helps in keeping the sideways rain out.
I had the same issue with the blue light .. Had the suspicion they used a 12V bulb . So i switch to a spare 24V bulb and that did the trick.
Another prove that the supplier didn't have a clue what they were doing ..........
I jumped a bit ahead and put two cans of Freon in. The temp at the vent hit just below 40 degrees and the clutch cycled off a few times. Leaving it there for right now. The blue light in the switch stopped working but it still engages the...
Making progress i see. If you bridge the 2 connections on the pressure switch you can dry test the function of the switch in combination with the function test of the pump clutch. No need to charge the system for that. Don't start the engine...
Bingo Mr SVED. I’m vacuuming the system and decided to turn on the key to check things and that blue light was stuck on. Then I remembered you mentioned this. Went back and found this post and swapped the two red wires and now the button seems...
Built a small harness following @sved ‘s direction and great posts outlining the process. Found a few clips off of a spare 12HT harness I have in my shop allowing a clean connection at the compressor as well as under the glove box. Hope to...
Hopefully this is the final routing of the hoses. New o-rings wiped down with PAG oil and connections made. Sucked it down with the vacuum and will let it sit overnight to see if there’s any leaks. Once I pass this step I’ll secure all the...
The 2 lower bolts are added for testing your patience , :grinpimp:but it is possible . f iI remember correct i started with the lower first, not quite sure.
Ok. Good to know. I’ve been told they come with oil unless specified. I really don’t want to remove the compressor again. The way it bolts up it’s a PITA to remove and mount back up. Those two lower bolts????
Yes , the compressor is pre oiled. The compressor came in the OEM Sanden package with a ''pre oiled '' label.
My AC guy just vacumed the system and charged it with the right amount R134A . I think it was around 850 Gram's. Tight and trouble free...
That is good to know Sved. Quick question I should have asked before I re-clocked the compressor…did your compressor come with the appropriate amount of oil in it? There are no labels on this compressor or in the box indicating it does or does...
