I would replace the cable if you can get a new one, the entire cable assembly. At some point you will not be able to buy them, if you can get one now I would do that. In my view its one of those things that's not really worth screwing around...

I've been a fan of Milton products for a long time. When I first started using compressors and air tools, I just picked up some HF or box store fittings and chucks and such. Over time, they quickly started leaking. Experience with other shops...

I would be careful about adding items on or around the battery that might be conductive or increase the chance of random "shorts to ground" etc. I don't think putting a sheet of stainless over the battery itself would be a good idea. do...

I'm guessing that you can use a older radiator thats for a manual trans FJ60..(that has no built in transmission cooler) and install an aftermarket trans cooler. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=8610368&cc=1276589&pt=2172&jsn=388

OP: I would look to replicate a GM fuel injection system from a production vehicle (GM SUV / pickup), not older than TBI. Or I would buy one of the current new aftermarket setups like the holley sniper or something similar. Save yourself some...

fair warning, the aftermarket heater cores I tried all failed ( I tried stuff from two difference sources), the only fix I saw would be to solder the heater in, which would work but would be painful in-itself, I'm not a fan at all on how the...

Cadillac had one at some point as I recall, I sure as """hell""" would not want that. From my memory common modification was to trash that and install carb. I think that might have been on a 5.7 olds engine but I've forgotten.

which specific heater core did you find that works? I ended up having my OEM heater core re-cored. From my experience the aftermarket heater cores don't mate properly with those two cooper tubes that are OEM from toyota. Heater core swap does...

Here's something I came up with. It's a work in progress. The final thickness of the frame will be just a bit thicker, ( around 3/16" )I want to sandwich the mash between two pieces of plastic. It could be magnetic or double taped on, not sure yet.

what mechanical fuel injection setup would make sense? Are you talking about with the stock I-6 engine or v8 swap in the gas lane ? I would not be looking to re-invent the wheel anywhere. when you say mechanical fuel injection are you talking...

the bolt in question is a m8 / 1.25 m, thread length part of bolt is about an inch long (I don't have a metric rule here at home). FYI (this bolt holds the front and left front sway bar bushings in (on the front side of the front axle). I...

yes I'm aware I can buy a new bolt, I've done that and waiting to get them, and I can measure that when I get it. But for the purpose of doing something now to clean up the threads....if you don't know the metric size & thread pitch you are at...

with respect to the guns with pin/detent, after some time the detent crap hits the garbage and the socket just hangs on by gravity / applied force, very aggravating getting the sockets loose from the gun. As I recall can also be aggravating...

thanks was trying to confirm what tap and die I need and the correct bolt (metric and pitch reference). I may have to get the hole welded up and redone-up, but for now I'm gonna try to fix up my screw-up. I had never had that bolt out, but given...

for those in Jackson, Is the main water plant there off I-55 , across the highway roughly from the state police HQ building. I assume is the same place I use to ride by in the 60-70's, if headed north on 55, off the right hand side of...

I believe you want the "arm" of the sway bar roughly parallel with the ground. (the part of the end of the sway bar that attaches to the link). I was searching topics....Anyone know the size of the bolt that holds the front sway bar bushing in...
