I feel sorry for this guy so I told him I'd throw it up on the board. I have no affiliation, but its been for sale almost a year. My personal feeling: Its never gana be a show truck FJ60. I have not seen the vehicle in person so I can't vouch for it. My rule of thumb has always been if it has rust or a history of rust, I won't pay more than $1000 for it despite whatever milleage it has. Some may disagree... Either way, this would probably make a great trail truck for some 16 year old looking to get into Landcruisers.

The vehicle was in 90% condition prior to getting rear ended, now needs a rear driver's quarter and a tail/liftgate. Interior is clean and complete, tranny is strong and 3FE runs VERY smoothly. Sellin' my sweet 1988 FJ62, the conversion was professionally completed by Steve's Off-Road in Soddy Daisy, TN. Steve and Jeremy did a fantastic job on this truck. I have driven it daily for 13,500 miles, long trips into TN ,AL and NC, round town. Worst case MPG has been 20MPG best case with pump turned down was 30MPG. Pump at proper setting, the truck avg. 24MPG. No issues turn the key and go.
I bought the FJ62 which had 182,770 from a friend in NC, who was the 2nd or third owner, it was cared for and had good service records, feel free to Carfax it, it spent time in TX, NC and now GA. It's a Southern truck. I delivered it to Steve's Off-Road the day after I bought it, so the conversion could began...

goodwrench 350 that I bought new from Carr Chevrolet in Portland, with edelbrock carb, and performer intake, rams-horn manifolds, K&N filter, Ranger II Torque Splitter adapter, this serves as 27% overdrive for lower highway RPM, in addition to connecting the gm to toyota transmission, stock toy 4 speed.
Just over 1.5 years ago I converted this to run on propane or gas, it is a tru dual fuel rig, the stock 24 gallon toyota tank is still there , but I've added a sleegers DOT approved 26 gallon lpg tank just underneath, still has lots of wheelin clearance. the propane is 70% cleaner to run than gasoline, and almost 50% cheaper...
sadly I have to sell my project because there isn't any more time or space for it. PM me or reply through craigslist with questions or requests for pics.

I saw this on craigslist, Went and checked it out on Saturday.
interior is beautiful, The exterior is not, Rust in the 1/4's and rust in the drivers and drivers rear door.
We were able to get it to start and run by pouring gas in the carb but the fuel lines are fouled and judging by the smell it needs a good cleaning and clear the fuel from the lines.
I do not have the time right now but it seems as if with a little work it could be a great truck for someone.

Well, I think I'll appologize to you all. I spent much of the day educating myself on our wonderfull trucks and I've come to relize that that JDM market has really lowered the market for older Canadian trucks like mine. I know my frame will need swapping at some point and I've lowered my asking price alot because, well honestly it was way to high to start will. I hope I never offended anyone with my starting price, I just didn't know the market has dropped so much in the past 3 years.
