Just listed a High Desert of Oregon 1964 FJ40: Hardtop, 3-in-tree, Warn Hubs, in excellent condition. Engine is replacement F1 with compression of 130 120 125 135 130 135. Never Butchered. Good 6ply LT tires with rims. Start Bid of $4,500 and ten day listing. Great to just use...even better to restore...check out the pictures...:p:flipoff2:
this truck is 90% finished has a 3fe conversion in it and I still have the running f engine , 4speed tranny, spring over , 4.88 gears one locked one welded, needs seats and lights, also the wiring harness needs some tidying up. i have no time to finish the truck , the price is $3500 open to offers, will post pics later today

Selling a complete running 79 FJ40 in northeast PA. This truck has a clean PA title and is currently inspected and legal in PA, the PO was using it as a daily driver. The good: complete truck, all accessories work (wiper, heater, lights, horn). Brakes work, steering works (PO replaced the steering box and rag joint), clutch, transmission and transfer work fine. Engine starts up and runs pretty good. This thing goes down the highway OK with no obvious problems and is actually pretty peppy. I have a very well preserved FJ40 for sale. I've owned it for about 16 years. Bought it in Arizona with the original 6 cyl engine. I later transplanted a Chevy 350 into her with the stock 3 spd tranny and transfer case. About 5 years ago I started to rebuild her again with a newer throttle body fuel injected Chevy 350, a 700R4 automatic tranny and the FJ40 4 spd transfer case. I also started installing power steering, a tilt/telescoping steering column, and rear disk brakes. Then I started building my house and I've not been able to touch the "cruiser" since. I no longer have the time or desire to finish the changes. The engine and drive train need to be installed, the power steering modification finished and the rear disk brakes...
Restored, front to back. All steel in rear replaced. So much to list. Original engine (has been overhauled with records), 4 speed. Comes with Soft top, bikini, and hard top (hard top needs to be restored).
2.5 inch lift kit.
Color is Nebula green.

Selling my FJ40 that was originally a factory soft top. Canvas for the top is missing and the pieces that connect the bows to the windshield. This vehicle was restored several years ago. It has a 73 F motor that runs excellent. Smoothe and quiet. The rest of the drive train is original. The body is in great shape and has just a small amount of rust showing on the rear quarters. The quarters have never been patched so you can see what you are getting. Fold down tailgate is perfect and complete. Has all 4 early hub caps. 2 are good, 2 are fair. I purchased this FJ40 recently and had intentions of really putting some effort and cash into it but I found a FJ60 that another MUD member had for sale here that I'm going to concentrate on so I'm selling this one. I bought this 40 last May for $6500. I've since added an Aussie locker in the rear, AA twin sticks, h**p seat with shoulder belts in the rear, Autometer tach, new Rancho 5000 in the front and Edelbrock shocks in the rear.
I bought a rebuilt Quadrajet from "mountainman" on eBay last month and it is running awesome. The 40 had sat for about a year before I bought it and the old carb was fouled up and would not adjust enough to get rid of a very rich condition. Changed the plugs out also.
The PO was a TLCA member and a friend of some BSLCA members, who also helped build it around 99 - 2000. They did a frame off resto and added the crate 350 from Summit at that time.

It is with huge regret and a few tears that I am posting my 40 for sale here. I am selling to help with a down payment on a new house... I have an 9 month old, and another on the way in Nov... and we need more space, not a cruiser (unfortunately).
But enough of the sappy story - on to the 40.
I had Proffitt's restore her pretty much exactly to her original state - I wanted to keep the heritage of the 40 alive in this one. She runs strong (will cruise at 80 no problem) starts well, rides smooth (shackle reversal), and boy does she turn heads. Honestly I feel like a celebrity when I drive it - it is unreal. 1968 Fj 40 So here is the story...this FJ40 was abandoned on a lady's property in the mountains of Colorado several years ago. The lady called JC (THANKS motoloco!!) and offered it to him for free. He generously offered it to the Rising Sun Club. I went with a few of our members and hauled it out of the snow and to my house. A few parts were taken by our members, and now we have decided to sell it outright or part it out. ALL proceeds will be donated to one of our Land Use organizations. I would love to sell this 40 in one piece, it is still very close to being a running, driving 40. But I have NO title. Should be easy to bond out a title or get a title from a deceased 40.

:frown: Up for sale is my 1978 FJ40. Runs great and has been garaged since I have owned it.
I used it for a DD for the first two months I had it. Then a few camping trips with it. That's where the mileage comes from.
For those that don't know, this is the most wanted year. Debatable yes, but with front disc brakes and the last year of the thicker sheet metal
it's great stock. Add rear disc brakes and power steering (which this has) and you have a great machine.

I have a 1975 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser that I bought a few years ago as a project. I have the rig almost completely done with what I wanted to do with it. So I thought I would post it up to see if I got any interest in it. This rig is very capable of all around 4x4, or you coud do some minor to some intermediate rockcrawling.
