Hey gang, long shot here but looking for a tub (have doors, roof and barn doors) but both tubs I have are pretty bad. Looking for a repairable tub before I order one from China. I know it's a long shot, but this community surprises me each time. Looking for a later 1979-onwards tub.
Pickup in Pacific Northwest as I'm in Vancouver BC. thanks!
This vehicle is a parts car. It has a Chevy 350 conversion and a solid frame. Tub is very rough. 3 speed transmission. Does have some great parts for salvage.
Iconic cruiser ready for adoption. Own a piece of history. You may have seen Rocky the 40 flying around the web or Cruise Moab. This is @cruiseroutfit 's first cruiser he built as a teenager with his Dad in 1995. She spent some time around Utah and a farm in Idaho. I acquired her from Jim of PortalTek Axles in SLC in 2010. I've put a lot of work into getting her running like a sewing machine and had some important drivable upgrades completed like Power Steering, Disc Brakes, updated wiring, Troll Hole Carb (rebuilt 2023), new fuel tank, etc. Rocky was my daily driver for years and she's been garaged the nearly 14 years we've owned her. She always passed emissions in Utah with flying colors. In Colorado 1968 is vintage and doesn't need...
This vehicle was purchased a little over 4 years ago; it was an original owner vehicle out of Arizona and was shipped to the East Coast where it has been in covered storage since. Vehicle has not been driven in snow/slush and only once in the rain in my 4 years of ownership. With twin 7 year olds and another classic car, this 40 just doesn't get driven enough and I would rather someone else be able to enjoy the vehicle. I'm hopeful in the coming years as my children get older I'll be able to get back into an FJ.
This is a great truck that has been reliable and I ensured any mechanical and safety related items were fixed as the wife and kids would go out with me, so I wanted to ensure this was a safe and family friendly weekend...
I must sell my cruiser as my lungs are shot on oxygen full time and not interested in a transplant.
has US & Canada title.
Most likly cleanest cruiser you see that is not a resto
I hope I allowed to post pics and done correctly
We have recently decided to relocate, and I must liquidate several collector vehicles from my personal collection. I am torn between keeping this outstanding US Spec 1983 FJ40 and an equally as nice 1973.5 Porsche 911T. I have decided to put both up for sale and will let the market decide.
This vehicle was purchased by the previous owner from TLC in Van Nuys, CA in August of 2004. The vehicle had just undergone the TLC Phase 1 Restoration process which included fully rebuilding the steering system with all new OEM arms and ends, overhauled front axle with all new wheel and knuckle bearings, rebuilt burfields, as well as all front axle seals and gaskets. New TLC performance slotted rotors and TLC Monster calipers and stainless...
Looking to sell my 1983 FJ40. Was restored in Venezuela and purchased by a boutique Charlotte car dealer at a Mecum auction in Pennsylvania. I have spent $10K getting is fully sorted out as well as removing the hard top (I don't have it any longer) and installing a custom roll cage and bimini top. WARN winch. Beautiful navy blue with tan interior. Gets more commentary/looks/picture requests than any car/truck I have ever owned including some exotics. All OEM parts and really nicely done restoration. Only issues I have found / non-original parts include a rear axle that appears to be from a Ford Bronco and the seats are not original Cruiser seats (more comfortable). Paint chip or two that would need to be addressed and one of...
A 40 parts rig. Hardtop, doors, 2F that runs according to previous owner, 4 speed tranny/tcase, spare 2F, drum brake front axle, seats, spare hard top sides. Also have title. Located in Jackson, TN. $1500
Also have a ton of extra parts too that can be worked into a deal.
Transmission access panel. I have two for sale. One has a broken bolt in one . The other has a small portion at the rolled section that had rust on the underside. Both have been sandblasted and primed using a 2k epoxy. $75.00 each plus shipping
I've owned this 40 for the past 5+ years and have had all work done either locally by a Toyota/Landcruiser mechanic (McIntosh Imports) or by Trollhole's Cruisers. I am not mechanically-inclined but happy to answer any questions to the best of my abilities. $20k OBO.
History: She was first sold in New Mexico (American Toyota - Albuquerque) and per some stickers she had some history in the PNW. I bought her with Oregon tags in Washington state (from a guy with Montana as a last name) - can't make that up. She was promised as "everything works" but nothing could have been further from the truth when she was delivered across the country. I broke every rule in the book buying her and have paid handsomely as a penance. But, happy that I was...

Not mine, but here you go... There's some history on it if that helps.
I nearly bought it for $7K from another gentleman in IA and the frame along with it that needed swapped. I should have done it, but I didn't. That's a mistake on my part. He swaps the frame and tries to sell it with that same bent from bumper for $13K. It didn't sell and now it has a fresh bit of paint and plenty of undercoating to cover up the nasties... And you guessed it, it's doubled again to $29.5K. His description:
"1973 Land Cruiser. Runs like a top, starts extremely fast and easy. Holley carb, KW struts, brand new paint job and rust repair work. Completely rust free! The paint has beautiful metallic that didn’t come through with the lighting. Seats...
Great FJ40 for sale in Des Moines, IA. Runs like a top, starts extremely fast and easy. Holley carb, KW shocks, brand new paint job and rust repair work. Completely rust free! The paint has beautiful metallic that didn’t come through with the lighting. Seats in rough shape, but have leather and materials to reupholster them to better-than-new condition. Also, leaks a very slight amount of coolant. However, it leaks out of the engine and has no compression issues. Have driven this truck 4 hours with this issue before I knew it was there and it drove great, not even overheating. Very easy fix on these 1F inline 6s, we may get around to it if it does not sell and the price will go back up. I am out of town for the next month-ish and I know...

1976 toyota fj40 for sale by owner - Uniontown, WA - craigslist - https://lewiston.craigslist.org/cto/d/uniontown-toyota-fj/7679920085.html
This is a project that I acquired. Its on one ton axles Dana 60 front with a full Detroit locker and in the rear a spooled 14 bolt. The motor has been removed I had a small block chevy in it before with a new turbo 350 and a NP205 transfer case. Previous owner was starting a conversion to a 4BT motor. It has brand new 38x13.5x17 tires on it with aluminum wheels. The body is in very good shape one rust hole in the back drivers side panel. It’s a project but it’s all there. Might be parting it out if I get interest in that. I have the title in my name for it as well.

1965 Toyota fj40 Land Cruiser project. Been sitting for years. Someone was in the process of putting a newer late 70's early 80's 4.2 motor in it that's not all the way completed. Motor has clean oil and turns over with the starter also has an hei distributor and a Weber carb.
Original motor is with it and is complete body has some rust in the outer sheet metal but floors and important stuff are solid. Ramsey pto winch is in nice shape, warn hubs, nice tailgate, windshield, frame, and grille. Would be a fun project for the right person or it has a lot of nice parts. Clear title
