I'm looking for a running 65, 66, or 67 fj40 for sale. Must be running and able to drive reliably to me. I'm in Vegas and looking for a project vehicle that falls before our emissions standards so I can evaluate different drivetrain/power combinations without having to re-smog annually. I would like a hardtop, doors, and clean title. Some rust is not an issue.
If you have a project laying around, that you might think I'd be interested in, please pm me. If you can make it run with some small effort I'm definitely interested. Rust is ok, ugly is ok, just has to make it home with no major leaks, blowouts, lock-ups, or failures. I'll fly out and drive it home.

Love my BJ40, but looking for more room for the kids and dogs! Wife just sold our MDX. Not looking for a project though. I finally have mine where I want it. Runs great, drives true, starts every time. I use it as a daily driver. It's no fun sitting in the garage. Its a great looking and running cruiser. It's got the typical rust spots in the rear quarters and front door bottoms. Ambi doors are great.
Looking for the same in HJ45 or HJ47.

toyota 4x4 has no engine,trans,t-case,rear end, does not come with boggers..does have a pretty solid tube and frame, and alot of good parts, along with ALOT of extra fj40 stuff. has mounts for sbc, i do have clear title. *tube is not rusted out* $1500
:)76 fj40 for sale, chevy 350, edelbrock off-road carb, factory 4 spd & t/c, metal tech front cage kit, 4:10 or 4:11 gears (i cant remember.) detroit lockers f/r, 33x12.5 pro-comp m/t on black steel wheels with spare. Tread is 100% on spare & 85-90% on other four, has bikini top and full steel doors, has some very minor rust in a couple spots and some minor trail damage on the passanger side. Is a perfect canidate for restoration, and is an excellent trail rig!! Garage kept in winter and driven weekly in summer. All tags and inspections are current. Cruiser is located in rhome, texas. Im asking $5000 o.b.o. I would love to keep it, but have bills to pay!!!

Looking for a nice start to a project truck. Rust is obviously going to be an issue being I'm smack dab in the middle of the rust belt, but it must not have (or had) any frame rot. This rig is a 1977 California Emmissions Standard Rig that passes the California Emmission with no problems.
This rig could be a daily driver. It has clean paperwork, I have Title in hand. It is currently Non-Opped.
I coud wash it and wax it and take blury photos, but I don't do that. You see it the way it is. The Freeborn Red paint is faded. It has been waxed through byt the PO.

I've got this on Ebay but thought I would list it here also. Motor, transmission and transfer case DO NOT go with it. I recently purchased this for some select parts I needed and I don't have the room in my shop for the rest. It is a 1978 FJ40 with a build date of June 1978. The PO had blasted the frame and tub and had the frame painted. This frame is VERY nice. The tub is pretty good also with a few repaired areas and a new rear sill installed. After the repairs some type of bedliner was sprayed in the tub and the underside and cowl was painted. If I were able to keep it I would spray another coat of liner on the underside and inside the tub. There is some filler in a couple of spots like the right rear outside of the tub...

Engine/Drive Train:
The truck has a Pro-built small block 400 that dyno'd with 400 lb of torque, hooker headers and 40 series flowmasters. Saginaw power steering conversion and shackle reversal up front. 1969 Toyota FJ-40 Land Cruiser
Engine: Stock In-line six the 145 I think, lot's of torque, good oil pressure and no overheating, very clean under the hood.
Trans/Transfer: 2 speed transfer case with the vacuum lock to engage front not sure of a model number. Transmission is a 3 speed on the column, shifts smooth, no grinding, nice full pedal clutch.
Paint: Good condition, it is not the original paint, it is a dark red, the interior is a bedliner type of coating, probably LINE-X. This is also on the rails and under body.
Body: No rust, there has been a little repair on the rear fender area of the tub but nothing major and it looks good.Can't really tell there has been a repair there.
Axles: It has the original axles which...
