LRA FAQ/master thread

Given the volume of...ahem..."experiences" with these tanks, it may be a good idea to have one thread to rule them all regarding the LRA tank. Mods, please scrap if this is a bad idea.

I'm now dealing with a tank that still transfers fuel uneventfully, isn't throwing codes now, but has decided that it's now always "full." Meaning the fuel level does not show a declination of level regardless of how much fuel is being pumped into the main tank. Fuel level is appropriately reflected in the main tank, however the aux still shows "full" despite my knowing it's not. This is a recent development for me in my love/hate relationship with this thing. Any troubleshooting you gents have without me dropping the tank would be appreciated. TIA.

I like this idea, one thread with issues and fixes. Mine has been issue free and we’re about to install another one in our LX which I hope also runs issue free. However, it seems like issues do pop up after a while so a master thread would be helpful. I already have a charcoal canister sitting on my shelf just in case.

One thing I’d love to figure out is an automated timer to run the transfer pump and auto shut off after a set amount of time. Currently I set a timer on my phone but it would be nice to be able to skip that step.
