Just remind yourself the cost of a new truck.Ignoring failing clear coat on fenders, hood, elsewhere and pinstripes everywhere else, I decided to take on something wildly simple and unnecessary...polished the turn signals on my HDJ81. Safety first, right?

Meanwhile I'm waiting for a new radiator (thanks @Onur for posting the p/n a while back) and harmonic balancer (why not?). I'm starting to think this truck is determined to drain my bank account. It sure seems to be making progress toward that goal.

I swapped my OME 860 to 863 after realizing that am a bit heavy for when we are loaded for our trips. This wasn't a big deal until i added the 4x4labs bumper, and the last trip i brought quite a bit of water with me as we were remote for a few days, so the rear end sagged far more than i like.
The truck was also suffering from a heavy cruiser lean, about an inch. After installing the 863, it still had the lean. I already had an inch spacer at the back so i took out the passenger side and voila, it now sits pretty even. I really don't understand this lean issue, pretty sure OME springs are in right place but still 1" difference ?! anyways that's fixed now
Truck is a bit taller again at the back, which means i'm back to wrecking my garage. I now have to ask the whole fam to get in the truck as i creep in/out. Garage will eventually yield a new shape for the truck so i am not too worried about it

Paint it. I paint everything lol.
Built something to help build other things.
picked up a small welding table for $40 but plan on adding 2 drop leafs to increase to 4’ long.
Both leafs fabricated, one attached.
This is also going to act as a work bench for my sheet metal box brake as I have secured some work to fabricate some aircraft parts

Tackled a small job that has been waiting for a couple months on the shelf. Replaced the Heater control valve using Joey's kit from Wits End. After getting it removed my old valve wasn't in as bad of shape as I expected considering the amount of crystallized coolant that was building up around the hose ends. Simple enough job and it's always good knowing there are fresh parts installed in common failure points. Now ready to head to Idaho tomorrow

Finally got the 37's muddy. Tried to get out to coney flats before the holiday rush for a night and get the shocks set and make sure countless # of new bolts replaced underneath didn't fall off, instead got hammered by 3" of rain in an hour, found a nice spot, ate a steak, passed out in the back and came back home early morning and saw absolutely no one. Outside an occasional random funky sounding click up front everything was flawless and some expected rubbing until I get bump stops and flex sorted.
Few boulder fields, lots of mud holes, ans a shiat load of rain. Toyo's gripped the wet rocks great.

Coney Flats is not a very hard trail, but it can get ugly in the rain. That's how I bent my radius arms up
