Interesting that the plastic side view mirrors are horizontal. Always wondered which way was factory correct?

this is a Gold Zinc plated example of a new thing being discovered in our Vintage Land Cruiser world we have going on here that is historically significant too .....

i never heard of this topic before either , it seams the way forward is now OEM clear ...

not sure i like it yet or not

i just studied it and see a 78 does NOT have AISIN or ACSO free wheel hubs yet , rather its STANDARD on wagons and Optional on a hardtop ....

that's odd ,.,,,,,

silly Mr. T

The same marketing guy that flipped the bezel on this add.

Little did they know we would have a Cruiser Cult scrutinizing these pictures 45 years later

I really like my 200 as a tow rig but a 35 mph headwind makes it particularly thirsty.

I went to Air Force ROTC boot camp for 6 weeks the summer of 1988 here in Wichita Kansas.

I think that’s the last time I was here. Looks the same.

Fact.

It was opposite of the summer heat though. I woke up in Tulsa and it was 38 at 6 am.

Just after that photo l started seeing cars off the road. Figured it was from Christmas when no one was working to pull them out.

Then I noticed they still had people in them. The road from Wichita to Salida was white knuckle for a Mississippi boy.

Temps were 18 degrees.

When you are getting 7.5 mpg the 5 gallon reserve goes very fast in the wasteland of Kansas. Cut it close on this one.

Made to Colorado and I70 was smooth sailing. Once I got up on the plateau gas consumption went back to semi normal of 9 mpg.

The salt was gross but I found a car wash in Limon

It warmed up to 45 but there is still a ton of snow

I made it to @shellb ‘s wicked cool pad just as the sun set over the Rockies.

It started up (thank God) and he took it for a quick spin then showed me around the shop

This one is home. I’m happy.
