Nice!

I hope your drama is all behind you now. Cool score on the compressor!

Sorry to hear that the rain has been plaguing you still.

Those rockers are wicked cool! Do you fab those? Did you paint the inside with weld-through primer?

😄 Thanks TJ, yes, back to a drama-free life for the most part!

Thanks, yes, fabbed the rockers out of some 12 ga sheetmetal and coated the inside with weld-through zinc primer. I drilled some access holes on the inside faces so I can coat the inside with some Eastwood Internal Frame Coating. Stuff should be showing up early this week.

Got a batch of Eastwood Internal Frame Coating yesterday to get the ball rolling on this little aspect. Used one can on the passenger rocker (overused maybe). Spun the tub around on the rotisserie like the the wheel on The Price is Right (Big money! Big money!) so that the stuff totally covered the inside of that cavity. Nothing oozed out of the seams anywhere, pretty pleased about that.

Pig Money ! Pig Money! might be more appropriate in this case. Solid progress going on , an inspiration. 👍

In a short break from the tub work, wanted to show some pics of what I’m planning to use to plate the inside front of the frame with. The front sections of frame were cannibalized from that 71 overseas frame I picked up back around March. The idea was/is to rip the outer plating of this frame tubing, and affix it to the inner plating of my frame.
Planning on plating from the rear of the front cross member, to just past the rear spring hanger of the front leaf spring.
This still won’t happen for a few months, just kind of staging puzzle pieces.

Accomplished a few odds and ends today -

Ground weld along that seam on the outer part of the lower A-Pillar that drops into rocker. Wanted to keep the weld beads visible, but they catch a bunch of debris, so figured they needed to be smoothed out.

Straightened a dip I missed in the driver front doorsill. After welding my rocker cap in, I noticed an area that was flat and didn’t angle down towards the door. Cut the spot welds loose to the new floorpan, welded a nut to the low point and built a bridge to help pull it up.

Finished welding pinholes along the driver side rocker and gave it a good douching of the Internal Frame Coating. Gave the passenger side a second coating.

Started on the rust repair of the back seat floorboard.
