This ^^^^ is what mine looks like.
Here is the strap under the passenger seat, I assume it strapped down the tool kit? Looks factory. And has metal tabs to maybe “cradle” the tool kit?

Not sure if it came with all 40s, but the 2F crank nut (and earlier motors) is set up to allow it's use.
Pic stolen from the webs. Note that it's tapered to allow it to slip (in theory) to prevent the handle from spinning wildly once the engine starts. It will push the handle away from the crank nut. I know there's video of people starting them with the handle if you search enough.

Got a little time to play with the pig today. Last eeek I pulled out the front and mid floor mats and started to scrub the interior. On the whole rig there’s are only three pea sized holes of rust on the floor. I am a happy man.
To get the mats out I had to pull the seat belts and they were nasty. Oily, crusty, stiff, dunked up, adjusters wouldn’t move. I wasn’t sure I could save them.
So I tossed them in a bucket with some wash detergent and some of my Meguiers APC and let them sit for a week stirring on occasion. The water turned black within an hour.
Here’s the before…

And the OEM tool roll strap… I think? Is it OEM?
After an hour of soaking…

I had the pressure washer out for cleaning the deck and decided to clamp the belts to a board and wash them down. Soooooo much gunk came out it was awesome.
Here’s a half way shot. Top has been blasted at 3500psi the bottom is direct out of the soak.
My fancy rig for holding the belts down.
Everything came out squeaky clean.

I like the selection of jets right on the carb. Going up in elevation, let me pull over and rejet.

I vote keeping it stock. But you know me, I ❤ drum brakes and no synchro 1st.
I bet I have a proper '72ish Aisin carb you could rebuild with the class and swap on.

Those old Rochester 2G carbs are good carbs and getting scarce. I put one on my Flathead Ford as an upgrade to the original Holley 94. Don't junk it, even if you don't use it. They are popular with the hot rod guys, Even non GM vehicles.

So I have two different tail light lenses. Both say Toyota. One is red/orange the other is all orange. Which on is correct for a ‘72.
I hopped on eBay for a Quick Look and nearly fell over, guys are asking $500+ for a set of OEM. I’m guessing these are unobtanium in the aftermarket?
My red/orange one is cracked.

Show me what you have for rhrottle cable or linkage. I looked on the parts shelf and i have a few that will work depending on how it connects. (I know 40's better than 55's).
I can rebuild it too if you want something ready to plug and play.
