Here’s how that pans out on the pans. Used a piece of 1/2” all-thread tightened to the second mount holes. You can see using my original measurements, the passenger side was off by roughly 1/2”. Maybe because I only got measurements from the driver side😬🤷‍♂️

Those are about the lowest profile rockers I’ve seen on a pig, nice work.

Thanks man! Wanted to keep them as low profile as possible. I’ll be building some frame mounted sliders down the line, but want to keep them tucked up as high.

I admire your tenacity and skills. Do you have an overall timeline in mind or just taking it as it comes?

Thanks WDE!👍
The only timeline I’m trying to stick to currently is getting all this tub work done by the end of summer. It could possibly still be warm enough by October to do some painting, but I’m not holding my breath. I may switch to frame and chassis work when it cools off - not as afraid of that stuff getting wet as I am the sheetmetal.

More rocker action...
Spent a couple hours finalizing the outer seam on the driver side. Once the first bead was laid down and ground off, the inevitable pinholes and shallow penetration showed up. “V”ed out all of these areas, with either a cut-off wheel or burr bit, and built weld up to get it as thick as possible. Took some time but turned out good.

Finishing up some loose ends and rectifying the sins of the past. Always knew that one day I’d be taking care of these little things, it happened to be today (well, most of the summer really). Tied in the fender lip to the rocker, driver side, and tied the center tub mount support channel back into the rocker.

Did most of the exact same work for the passenger rocker cap, rear tie-in, center tub mount support channel, etc., etc., this afternoon. Put 14 - 16 hrs of work in this weekend. Still a couple hours of work to do on the front outer tie-in’s on the rocker caps, which I should hopefully get done over the week.
After that, I have the front tub mounts to install, the rear quarter panels to cap, the back passenger floor to repair, and a few small miscellaneous rust repairs to make, and then that will be it for the major tub work. Everything after that will be mod work 😃
Yeah buddy!!

Now it’s time for beer 🍻

I have been saving the tie ups till I flip it over. That is supper clean how you did the inner fender. I am going to try to get that look too.
SICK
