the 4.56s and 34s has the engine sitting at 2600rpm at 100kph which is a more than id like. egts are around 300c and boost sits about 10.. i can push it harder to go faster but prefer not to.

i think im going to have to swap the 4.56s out for 3.5 or 3.7 diff gears. theres enough torque around 1800-2000rpm to run in 5th gear.

speaking of 5th gear it would pop out at times so i need to look at that too...

all good though, its part of figuring out where things are at.

Looks great and glad you are on the road.

I am curious about the all the hoops you had an engineer buy off but they don't have an issue with no rear bumper?

The engineer did ask if i had one but apparently isnt a road worthy item or needed for engineering.

Not much to report but a few things done..

Ordered 3.72:1 Ring and Pinions which are in the mail.. removed the 4.56's and replaced them with 4.11s..
On the 4.56's towing a horse float 200kms I got 13.4L/100km (74L/550KM .. first tank on the 4.11's I got 11.3L/100kms (75L/660KM)..
Got a roll of 10mm airline for diff and gearbox breathers installed..
Got the UHF installed in the tuffy:

Handpeice and switch panel done... I need to find a momentary rocker switch for Winch In/Out controls:

I wanted to space down the sway bar as its 10mm away from the sump plug when the vehicle is in a static position. I had some SHS which did a great job of spacing the sway bar away from the sump.... but bound up the front end on flex:

It was good to play in the front yard and try and work the suspension a bit.

I was going to go for a wheel yesterday as the family is up in Brisbane for a week.. but plans changed and I decided to get some thing done around the house..

the new rear belts turned up in the mail today and went straight in.. The engineering has other engagements interstate so it's going to be a race to get everything done for engineering before he heads away for a week..

Apologies if I asked you this already, I always ask, did you have those seatbelt mounts existing in the C pillars? Or did you add?

had a go at this section but it was a struggle with open diffs. i stopped the camera to walk it and pick a line but then forgot to restart it after i got back in. I gave my spotter my mobile to video with but all i got was a pocket full of black.

no photos or video though
