Hi everyone picked up this 84 hj47 apparently was a govt vehicle original paint but I’m trying to work out if these pin striping is a factory or dealer option I’ve not seen it before. Going to try and preserve it just not sure when it might have been added. Cheers from Brisbane

Definitely not factory. Doubt it's dealer- installed. Has that look of rural SA to me. I could see that running around Port Lincoln or Whyalla. Looks like a good find. Must have been living in inland Queensland up there judging by the condition of the body.

Why do you think it's a government ute? Unusual to see the government utes in mustard.

Thanks found it on a farm in Gympie im probably 4th owner. Apparently at some point was picked up at a govt auction. Have some more advice that a truck driver probably had those lines added. Not much history on it, has a tray from Mackay. Macbuilt bodies. Not much else on it unfortunately.
