Hey Guys, Been on the hunt for the past week and went and looked at a couple of Land Cruisers for sale around the area. Starting to get a feel for what is going to be a good buy or not. This new one is a bit of a drive away, so I wanted to get your opinions on the pictures the seller provided to see if it's worth going and seeing. Notes from the seller: 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser with 3FE engine and automatic transmission is in very good condition. Just passed NC State inspection January 2019. The 1988 model is the first model to introduce power windows and mirrors in the LC wagon platform. Relatively new tires, upholstery and headliner. Recent work includes new fuel injectors and a 4WD transfer case rebuild. Runs well and can easily...
I have been searching on my own and with the help of some awesome MUD members but I thought I would put this out to a larger audience: Looking for a solid late '85-87 60 or a 62. Criteria: (in order of importance): Rust free/accident-free Location - Colorado/Texas and west Original paint in great condition or professional glass out paint job Continuum of service records or the ability to do a PPI Gray interior Mostly stock (OK with a lift, aftermarket interior, deleted) MUD history is a plus! Sub 200K on the clock I am not going to put a price range cause I'll entertain anything that fits the above. I'm hoping this will bring some out of the woodwork!
Central Ohio: 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60
1984 Toyota Land Cruiser 231K miles 4-speed Original 2f engine Clean Ohio title I’ve owned this truck for 5 years. For the last 18 months it has been my daily driver. I’d like to keep it, but it’s not practical for my everyday driving. This vehicle is amazingly reliable. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Body: Rust is showing on rear wheel wells and tailgate. The front is chipping, but has no issues. There is some rust coming through at the bottom of the doors. Body is overall very straight Engine/drivetrain: Engine is very smooth running and in good working order. Engine does have oil leaks HEI ignition upgrade was installed by the PO and works well. The carb cooling fan currently does not function, but does not...

SOCAL - Los Angeles - 1987 Toyota FJ60
I am selling this truck and listing it at about $19,000 give or take. Is this too much? I'd like for you guys to chime in with critiques and an honest valuation for any prospective buyers as I don't want to rip off anyone nor do i want to be taken advantage of. I am awful at selling myself but I also believe in being fair and i respect the community here as you guys helped me a lot through my years of ownership. It leaks a lot in all the places these trucks leak but it runs well in general, It just passed smog and registration is current through 2019. Title is clean, pink slip in hand and in my name. I would consider this truck to be in decent shape for anyone who is handy and ready to be restored or built out for a great project. I...
Yet another...Thoughts on this '87 FJ 60 for sale locally
I'm in the market with fairly strict criteria. Looking for a mostly rust free, '85-'87, gray interior, mostly stock, and under 200K miles. I've been looking in the Northwest, California, Arizona, Texas. Willing to travel for the right rig. Then this one came up locally last week Friday. Seller got lots of interest right away but I was the first to see it and give him a refundable deposit to hold it. Seller left town for a week so was willing to hold it. Verified 2 owners original California truck been in MT since 2000. Seller has had it since '97. 190,000 miles on a rebuilt engine. 32K on the rebuild. Seller has all documentation of rebuild. The seller also has documentation of new clutch and lots of engine maintenance over...
1987 HJ61 rollin' on 38's
Its back. I remember seeing this on Seattle CL 2-3 years ago. The owner describes the condition thusly: 'It is functional.' You really have to admire the builder's commitment to chrome/general badassery: Louvers on the fuel filler door! The (enormous) body lift spacers are wrapped in (or made of?) stainless steel. Because if you're going with a 6" body lift, you may as well make sure you can see them from outer space. To compensate for said body lift and align the grille protector with the body, it has been cut/raised/welded to the front bumper (aligned with and mounted to frame).
I'll keep it short and sweet for now. I drove my old FJ62 to 38 states (including Alaska) and did a lot of unforgettable things with it before selling it to a stoked new owner so I could get a more reasonable daily. I've been working hard and moved to the mountains and am contemplating getting into another older truck, but it would have to have modern power. I can sort the small details, but I'm looking for a high-end LS swap or similar (R2.8 might be even dreamier). Send me a message or post up if you have one or know of one. Cheers! John
https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/d/sacramento-1987-toyota-land-cruiser-fj60/6861521799.html I've always been a huge fan of the 60 series cruisers and have kept an eye on the market for them. Lately I've been thinking of making a purchase. Hoping this forum can help weigh in on this one. This one is supposedly running but won't pass smog due to vacuum line issues. What does this group think about a fair negotiating price? Or is this vacuum line issue too much of a headache to dive into? Any help would be appreciated

NOT MINE, But need the cynics to chime in.
New, but have been lurking. I think I know how the forum works. You post your truck for sale, everybody starts cracking on it if something doesn't add up right between text and pic, but occasionally someone weighs in with a character reference or that it is a nice rig (although over priced FJ's get their share of comments as well.) Here is one I am looking at that is high side priced, but please weigh in.https://nashville.craigslist.org/cto/d/kingston-springs-1988-toyota-fj62/6839941029.html. He wants $21,500, (ugh)
