Went and looked at this cruiser for sale locally, has about 234k on the clock, didn't get pics underneath, but overall looks pretty rust free, runs good, drives and stops straight,a/c not working, but may be a simple fix

Please post your thoughts, or ?? thx.

Is that rust on the inside/top of the body where top of the door shuts into?
Hard to tell from pics.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I suggest getting familiar with the trouble areas of the 60/62 and then go take another look at that truck. The pics you posted are basically no better than what a seller would post. Which typically means that they're of little value in evaluating.

Focus on the underside. The rockers. Inside the wheel well.s The engine bay. Drip rails. Was the engine dry underneath. etc etc etc.

Why do you think the A/C is a easy repair?

Is the seller flipping it or have they owned it for a while? Service records?

Bring a good light with you when you go to look at it again.

Not at all, that's all I could get at the time I looked, but I spent much time underneath, above and around.

Frame good, rockers good, drip rails good, he told me sheet metal replaced from rear doors back, about a foot below the rear side windows, rear tail gate top replaced, and repainted, there was other spots that were painted/touched up, but it looks stock, can't really see any paint mismatch lines. I pulled the carpet back in the rear and also the pieces over the wheel wells, they are solid, as well as the floor.

New carb, updated to HEI ignition, new tires, brakes, shocks. Over all I'd say it's pretty much stock.

The whole interior was replaced, seat covers front and back, new foam, new headliner, carpet. The dash is cracked in several places. 4x4 hi / lo work as intended

The a/c compressor was cycling but not cooling is why I stated easy, as least for me.

Clean car fax, have owned for several years

If that’s the case. Remove the rear panels and check or take pics of the back sides of the quarter panels. On each side. There should be some seam marks as to where the repairs where made. And aso check the rear frame sounds like either rear ended or bad rust!

unless i'm missing something, I know the 60 prices are going up for something in pretty good shape, but the 15k seems a bit high. Of course that vary based on location and such

Yeah prices are steadily climbing.
Do your homework on this one. Go over it tooth and nail.
Ask seller questions. If you have to ask seller same question different way to see if consistent.
Look for leaks wet spots between trans and engine, transfer case and transmission. Rear end brake. Check knuckles tre’s. See what needs replaced and factor in how much your willing to do yourself.
Or bargain with him on things needing
attention.
Especially look for rust and more rust.

Looks to me that the wheel arches were muddled in. They look too square on the edges, and the seam is gone on the wheel arch. Passenger side wheel arch looks a little out of shape. Would be good to see before pics.

Why did he not repair the dent on the tailgate

I was going to write the same thing. Those rear wheel arches look very suspect. And if it's apparent in a photo, then something is really up. Whoever did those, did not do them wheelwell....pun intended....!

I see that now, also noticed the marker light that is in front of the tail lens is up high. The one on the passenger side is right behind the fuel door.

Maybe an offer of 10k might be more suited.
