1976 FJ40 Northern Virginia (Alexandria)
Posting this for my brother. The time has come to let this truck go as it spends all its time in the garage and doesn't see many miles anymore. I purchased this from a friend back in ~2002 and sold to my younger brother after getting it running the same year. Has been in our family for 24yrs. It made a few trips to GSMTR 2010 - 2017 and even served as the vehicle I proposed to my wife out of. I don't have the room for another 40 otherwise I would just buy back. This truck is a great candidate for a daily driver or a great starting point for a mild wheeler. Almost all original. 1976 FJ40 (Dec 1975) VIN: #FJ40-213958 Paint: Green (Toyota 6V7 Army Green) 2F engine (numbers matching) 38/38 Weber Carb TRI-Y Headers (6 to 1)...
72 FJ40 Asking $4k
Purchased this 5 years ago (MUD member) in Colorado and then had it shipped to Montana. Seller claimed that it was driven up until the time it was parked and then parts started going missing. You can see in the pictures that the manifold, carb, and other parts are missing from the motor compartment. The front seats are included but not currently attached. Bad: No Title or Keys included. Seller claimed title was lost. I have not taken the time to start this process as I was just planning to drive it on my property. If you are here in Montana I can send you the forms that I received from a title officer. Good: The doors, hardtop, glass, transmission/transfer case, running gear, dash are all there. BFG tires. Frame appears...
OKC: 1973 FJ40
I'll put together a listing with all the details by tomorrow but wanted to get some photos posted. Purchasing a 45 from another mud member in the next couple of weeks and the wife said this one has to go! Mechanically great and service is up to date. I also have a link to 80+ pictures of the restoration from Nupen. Top is in storage and in great shape. Would like to get $30k. Also interested in a possible trade of very clean 80 or 100.
Southern Illinois 1962 FJ40 with major additional part lot included.
I have a rust free 1962 FJ40 (factory soft top) that is ready for restoration. This Land Cruiser was 'ready for paint' when it was abandoned at a restoration shop a little over a decade ago. It is remarkably complete with some true 'unobtainium' parts included (see pictures). In addition to the 1962 FJ40 (and it's multiple tubs of parts), I am including all remaining Land Cruiser parts that I have after the completion of my 1973 FJ40 resto-mod. ‘73 FJ40, my original, I’ve owned this one for 24-25 years.
Like I said, my first! This 40 is why I started Ruffstuff. I am never going to have the time to put it back together. The body has rust, not terrible but not great(when is rust great). Much better condition than most. It has passenger floor pinholes, a patch on the drivers floor and a bit on the rear, not the bed rear but lower quarter panels but only the back. The drivers side has some peeking through behind the “B” pillar. Overall it’s in pretty reasonable condition. The top is in great condition but if I get a good enough offer I may sell it separately. Not really sure about in the Midwest or east coast but if in good condition they are selling for $1000-1500. Anyway, I don’t have any better pics but will get some tomorrow, I’m...

I'll cut right to the chase, and give you the story below. But I'll let you know, I know almost nothing about about LCs. 1977 FJ40 that at some point was swapped with a 3B Diesel (it has an FJ frame number) 4 Speed Manual. Mileage: I have no idea Comes With: New Knuckle seals kit (still in packaging) New OldManEmu suspension kit (still in packaging) New OEM water pump (installed) Price: Asking $5500, (with the suspension kit), open to bartering. 1974 FJ40; SoutheasternPA/NortheasternPA
I wasn’t looking to sell (and not sure I am still!) but my new (to me) FJ62 has been taking all my time and money and my first love has been being ignored and I can’t help but think there’s someone out there who would appreciate and but her to better use than I am these days. Truck is currently stored in far northeastern PA while I have the to and doors here in southeastern PA I bought this truck 12 or so years ago. It’s rarely driven, only in the summer, and I have less than 2K miles on it over the past 10 years. I have the top and original doors but they haven’t been on in years either. This is what I have had done since I purchased it: —rebuilt 1975 2F engine with EFI and 4 speed transmission (these were procured by Schmuckster...

Culver City CA 1971 FJ40
Selling my 71 FJ40 I have been working on for the last year or so. I don't drive it as much as I have hoped too. but when I do it is a fun rig to cruise around in and or take on a long trip. I picked this up through @joesfj40 who had called me knowing I was looking for a 40 series project. It was a rig that was sitting for a long time and needed some love. I took on the project to get it back on the road and give it a second chance. Asking $ 14,000 obo. * Replaced the tired F engine with a 85 FJ60 2F. ( F engine spun a bearing) kept the F air cleaner, carb, intake and exhaust. * converted from a three speed on the column to 4 speed on the floor. ( George @ Valley hybrids rebuilt the trans/transfer combo for me) I kept the...
Atlanta, GA
For sale 1972 FJ40 FST. This is a survivor that has never been restored, never been taken apart. They are only original once. Lots of patina on the original paint. Lived on a ranch in Montana. Parked in a barn so out of weather. The soft top was only installed just prior to my purchase. It was as new in its plastic bag. The only rust is the two spots where all cruisers rust at the rear fender corners, but even this is very small and easily fixed. I chose to not fix it as it is part of its history. Seats have been recovered. Only reason for selling is I have too many classics and this one doesn’t get driven. I chased this truck for over a year from the PO. DM if interested.

Helena, MT - 1977 FJ40
For sale is my June 1977 FJ40. I have done a lot of work to this rig to make it a great driver and have been daily driving it for the past 6 months without issue. It does have all the typical rust issues found on these vehicles with the rear sill being the worst. I have acquired a majority of the body parts needed to restore it if desired and they will go along with the vehicle. I had no plans of selling this and was planning to move onto the body work phase next but life happens. It does have a replacement 2F engine from a 1985 FJ60 installed by the previous owner. It has also been fully desmogged. A list of main work done by me is below: Bilstein 5100 shocks all around Rough Country springs all around All new 555 steering components...
