I looked up my old order from 2018 and it does appear they were E-rated. They were purchased through discount tire, but trying that part number gave a broken link.

Great thread! Just bought a 09' LX570 that will be delivered next week. Its sitting on 305/65/18 w/ LC 2016 wheels and a 1" Spacer. He hasn't mentioned rubbing..

If my math is correct, stock wheels are +56 offset.. w/ his 1" spacer that brings me to a current offset of +30. I'm trying to find some aftermarket wheels that will fit properly w/ the tire size above. Stock wheel is 8"... Should I be looking for a 9" or 9.5" wide wheel w/ a +20 or +30 ET? Does the width of the wheel change the ET? I'm assuming no?

Congrats on your LX! Wheel width does not change ET (offset)... width does effect backspacing calcs.

RE 9"vs9.5"/+20vs+30... Honestly you will be fine with any of the above. I would concentrate on finding a wheel you like (weight, maybe hub-centric bore, maybe offset preference). The 9" is going to have more tire meat protecting it off road. +30 is going to fit a little better at full lock, but I think the +20 looks more planted. Or course there are those that insist you negatively affect scrub radius with anything less than about +45.

'09s have stock offset of +60 so you're sitting at ~ +35mm. You're at a pretty optimal geometry and setup already with the 33.6" x 12" tires.

From the perspective of on-road, wider wheels can offer more stability. Off-road, you'll lose some bead retention and wheel protection when airing down.

Lower offsets from optimal will trade performance everywhere if you're goal is a well balanced rig. It's not a perception thing and it's well understood dynamics where you'll trade cornering traction, handling, steering pull/drivability/fatigue, more wear and tear bearings/steering rack, tire wear, clearance and fitment for larger tires etc.

Width does not change ET.
 
I've seen them listed on the web in a few spots. I wonder if it's remaining stock and they are no longer producing the load range E in that size 🤔
I have noticed that all of the tire manufacturers seem to have gone to Load F in all the 18 and 20 inch A/Ts and M/Ts. Tough to find E anymore and definitely won’t find C or D.
 
Excellent! This tire size has been way under-represented on these boards. Too many naysayers declaring it won't fit. Sure, technically it doesn't fit out of the box, but with just a little work, it adds some serious BEEF the overall look. And protects the rim off road. I get the narrow tire movement, but it's just not for me. Like a hippo with dainty feet, when it should be Land Bruiser.

The 17" wheel crowd can use this guide too. A 305/70R17 is very similar in overall dimensions, a tad more aggressive - 305/70/17 (33.8" x 12.25") vs. 305/65/18 (33.6" x 12.0") Note the popular rock warrior wheel starts at 50 offset. So a .75" spacer would be ideal.

For the LX crowd, this thread is just as applicable to those wanting to run a 305 on 20s. It's very similar in overall dimension to a 305/55/20, which is actually a tad wider but a tad shorter: 305/55/20 (33.2" x 12.3") vs. 305/65/18 (33.6" x 12.0"). No KDSS bar to worry about. Run the same 1" spacer as the stock 18" wheel guys (All OE wheels are 60mm offset).

Potentially about to buy a set of 18" methods for my LX with a 25+ offset. It has 33/12.5/18 nitto trail grapplers on there already. What should I be concerned about as far as fitting? Will I need more than massaging the liners/removing flaps?
