that hits the nail , no garage ,gravel driveway , shop i started is doing well and is all time consuming always full no room for a long term project ,and is 18 miles from the house . I can see the light parenting is winding down ,so i need to start a shop up here and get motivated again by watching Your thread ,

Every man needs 3 pigs , one stock for the love of the swine , one built for the long haul to get you there in back no matter where you want to go , and one bad ass 10+ trail rig to appease the hardcore side , .( this is why spouses have so many shoes ) .

While trying to keep focused on specific tasks on the list to accomplish, I can’t help but just kind of look at this heap of work and kind of pick around on, and scrape some random peeling undercoating or rust bubble, or notice something I put off, and then and there was just as good of a time as any for doing it. The two front tub mount bolts were seized in the sleeves so I cut them both off, beat out the rest of the bolt, and then started give the front mounts a good look over. I had this nagging feeling that those mounts were probably going to need some attention. I replaced all of the rubber mounts in the mid 2000’s, and also had to do some floorboard rust repair in true RUSH fashion (before the day shift guys started showing up at 6:30 am). I remember those mounts being filled with dirt and corrosion when I removed the rusty floor sections. I cleaned them out, laid some metal over them and forgot about them.
Fast forward 12+ years. They are loaded with dirt and rust and will need to be replaced. Another thing on the list.
If you’re reading this, I suggest you go out right now and get your tub mounts flushed out, even if it means cutting some clean outs with a hole-saw (that can be plugged with a standard hardware store rubber sheetmetal plugs) and then pumping them full of your rust preventative of choice.
You’re welcome 😉
