But, this is a rare bird if it's legit. It would be far more desirable if it had an H55F installed. Either way, these don't come up very often. Plus this is in CAD, so the currency exchange certainly favours the US buyers.
I'm selling my 1988 FJ62 with ~222,000 miles. I originally purchased the vehicle in 2016 from Washington state and, before that, the vehicle was owned by an individual in Colorado. The vehicle is in fantastic shape, both mechanically and cosmetically. It has the occasional chipped pain here or there, but there are no dents and no body damage. Mechanically the vehicle has no problems - a couple of drops of oil have dripped where I have it parked but other than that there are no mechanical flaws. It was in great condition when I purchased it and I've put in over $4,000 into it (I had to rebuild the air conditioning and replace the brakes/brake pads). The guy said he's had it for 8 years but it turns out I know the PO and he sold it 2 weeks ago to this fella. New owner says the truck is rust free and starts well on the first crank.
I went and saw this truck yesterday in person and it has atleast 4lbs of bondo over the rear fenders, both backdoor jams on both sides. It's in horrible shape and has a horrible paint job to cover it up. You can still see trail pinstriping everywhere through the paint and he pained over the door locks and windshield wipers.

Low miles. No rust.
However.
HOWEVER...
The seller is not being truthful about the status of the Title. He is curb stoning this rig. Meaning the Title is not in his name and he is not a licensed dealer.
I won this vehicle on the previous auction for what I consider to be a reasonable price. But the seller played games about giving me a copy of the Title to show that he owned it, and eventually revealed the skipped Title. I offered to complete the transaction if he properly titled the vehicle in his name, but he refused.

After a few trips to the DMV I know have a clean California Title and registration on my HJ61! 1989 HJ61 Toyota Land Cruiser. RHD Japanese Domestic Model VX Limited 4WD 12H-T Diesel Engine.
Mechanically this vehicle is sound, the 12H-T fires clean every morning. Automatic transmission turns before 2200 rpm. It burns a little rich than most people may want but starts at altitude throughout cold winter, and can be adjusted. It is sitting on BFG AT 33's with less 8,000 miles on them. Brake shoes and pads in the rear and pads in the front were replaced a year ago. It has Old Man Emu Suspension with stock lift, operable PTO winch, front hub lockers, and everything you need to take this on your next expedition.

The two-tone Beige and Gray Metallic (27G) paint was faded on the hood when acquired the truck, had the hood and top parts of the fenders repainted. ISO a well maintained, mechanically sound, rust free FJ60/62 LC. White, Grey, Silver, Blue, and Red are my top color choices. I’d like to stay around 15-18k. I might be willing to spend a little more for the right wagon. I live in Northeast Alabama, but I’m willing to travel for the right LC. Any links or leads are appreciated.
Reluctantly, selling my 85’ 60 series. Love the truck but it needs someone who has the time and mechanical knowledge to get it what it needs. Two things I don’t have.
Very clean! Very stock. Was my daily driver, has 202k miles on it.
Thought it was a gasket issue mechanic found a crack. See pictures.
Debating weather or not to make a swap to v8, put a refurbished 2f, or cut my loses and get it to someone that knows how to do either of those things. Willing to trade, have a liking for 100 series right now, due to some additions of kids. Willing to transport.
Sadly it is time to let my trusty FJ go, the reason is that my wife will be getting a newer vehicle so I will be “inheriting” her FJ80.
I have owned this truck for more than 12 years and it has been very reliable, it is not pretty but is mechanically sound. Has some rust spots, will need paint and upholstery. Has many newer parts (alternator, hoses, steering box and intake manifold was repaired). I have all the records.Has parabolic suspension but I still have the original springs. $5300; I tried to price it accordingly to southern California prices. Clean title and smog certificate in hand.

All LED's including headlights. New AC compressor not installed, new air compressor with custom bracket to go where AC goes not installed. Have original chrome wheels and center console. Too much to list! Air lockers need to be plumbed and ARB compressor installed. Roof needs paint as it lived its entire life in New Mexico and California High Sierra desert...
