I'm moving out of the country and unfortunately need to sell my 1985 FJ60 with 143,xxx miles.
The body is in great condition with very minimal rust and few scratches, paint is still in good condition.
I put in a new Chevy small block 350 less than 8000 miles ago, and a newly rebuilt 700R-4 automatic transmission. For the last 3 years this truck has just been driven to town and back. It starts up every time, and runs great. It has a winch, ARB bumper, roof rack, air compressor, bike mount, and a custom built wooden sleeping platform / storage system. The interior is in good condition, 2 tears in the ceiling and a few cracks on the dash. The AC doesn't work but I haven't tried to fix it, so not sure of the issue. Stereo works great...

I am not parting out, do not have time. truck is complete albeit dismantled to some extend. Glass is all out, except the windshield (cracked). Engine is missing the distributor, and fuel pump. Body is dented everywhere, used to be an army training vehicle. I bought it for the chassis, as it has no rot. Been sitting for about three years, there is some surface rust on it now. It has an old man emu lift which was newish at the time, so that could come in handy for someone. The rear drive shaft has been cut. Some of the metal could be used for patching. Truck ran and drove before tear down. There is a great deal of good parts, grille, headlight buckets, glass, axles, chassis, you name it.
Bring a trailer and haul it out for $250.00.

As with anything any of these guys touch, you should be aware of possible (likely) Odo rollbacks, nondisclosed rust, bondo, mechanical issues, skipped Title, cleverly cropped photos, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.
If you think they're not out to rip you off, then best of luck to you.

Anybody know anything about this fj60 in Missoula? They've had it listed for a while now. It's not close enough to just pop over and check it out. Photos are ok, but no info. Was going to contact them to ask for some more photos and info. Anything specific I should ask about or photos to ask for?

I've owned this FJ62 for a little over a year. I was going to put it in storage while relocating for work; however, I've decided on selling the vehicle and letting someone else see it through. Although the truck runs strong, I never had plates put on it due to living in a county with emissions testing. Except for the past two months, it’s been garage kept. 222k. Stock. Previous owner rebuilt head and transmission. It starts, runs and drives with no issues, can use some carb/vacuum adjustments. I've decided to sell my FJ60 and focus on my FZJ80 as my sole project vehicle. I purchased it in March 2018 from a guy in Western Arkansas and drove it home 350 miles.
Since then, I've replaced the interior carpet with the kit from DNP Products (DNP on IH8MUD), replaced the front seats (Isuzu Rodeo), intake/exhaust manifold gasket (Remflex, but still has slight leak), exhaust (muffler & back), Installed BlueTooth Stereo (Sony), replaced rear door cards (purchased from eBay, but didn't notice that the fabric was a little off. Originals included). I'm sure there are things I'm forgetting, so ask me if you have questions

Hey guys it's time to sell my 60 i purchased to go wheeling with. I just don't have the time and its going to waste sitting outside. Truck is a 83 model with AC. 2F runs very strong with a new carb and high performance distributor just installed. H55 5 speed/split case/twin sticks. Runs and shifts excellent. Optima battery. 33x12.5x15 KM2s with 95% tread. Arb front winch bumper. Rear swing out bumper (brand unknown). Aftermarket lift (unknown brand). 2 new Corbeau seats with Console. Aftermarket cd player works.
Cons: The body and doors have rust. Mainly in floors and wheel arches. Frame is rock solid. Ac is not blowing cold but its all there. Headliner and carpet have been pulled.

Truck is in good overall shape, and mechanically sorted, it currently has 328,4XX miles. It was my daily driver for the past 3 years and was always maintained to be driven constantly. I have $6000+ of receipts from the past 3 years of my ownership, and it needs nothing at the moment. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive it across the country. It's been a California truck its whole life, and is wearing its original paint beyond a rough right rear quarter. The 3FE runs strong, the transmission shifts smoothly, AC Blows ice cold, and everything works as it should. Very capable and a ton of fun off-road.

Hi all, its been a while since I have been here but I have come down with the cruiser bug again and I am looking to get back i to one. I have a 1971 Volkswagen Westfalia camper that I would like to try and trade for a FJ55/60 or 62.
The bus runs, drives and camps great and it has solid floors and under carraig but does have some rust on the rear fender wells and few other spots that would need to be addressed if you want a show piece. I have used it as a camper and didnt worry about it. This one has a custom interior with the full width bottom bed and a cot up in the poptop. I have added or replaced the following in th last six months....
- New Brakes and rubber brake hoses all around
- New ebrake parts
- New 27x8.5x14 Mud terrain...
