1983 fj60 Toyota Land Cruiser. Thought I would have time to rebuild this guy, but decided I would rather focus on the other cruiser for now. Take this over and bring it back to a wonderful cruiser it could be.
It's in ok shape but could use some work. Comes with a second body( tub, compete set of doors with good glass, handles, interior panels, front and rear seats, dash parts that are missing on the original, ect..) the extra body is in better shape than the original. I had plans to get the current motor running well then swap the body.
Motor has a bit over 300k. Starts and sounds good, but won’t stay running unless you tap the gas and keep it above 1000 rpm. Could be a vacuum leak, or timing needs messed with. If I have some time...

I thought it was interesting that that the owner claims this is all original fj62 with the 2f engine and 5spd transmission. I know obviously the wheels and paint are not original. Is this possibly original from the Venezuelan Toyota plant?
I am interested enough to go check it out for curiosities sake.

Truck runs strong, I never drive it on salty roads and keep it in hiding during the winter. Zero bondo or cancer/rust on the body. Some surface rust on the underbody but nothing insane. No rear fender rot, roof gutter rust and door rot...

Selling my 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62. It currently resides in Los Angeles. I bought it four years ago in Tucson, AZ. According to Carfax it has lived its entire life in Arizona with a year in Idaho and now California.
It currently has 219,000 miles. It sits on newish 32x11.5 BFG KO2s on the original steel wheels that I painted black. Mechanically everything is great. 4X4 works great.

Breaks my heart to sell it, but I am trying to simplify life a bit. I have owned the truck for two years and enjoyed every minute of it. I daily drove it for the last 4 months or so.
Oil changed every 3000 miles with Rotella T4 and gear oil in the diffs, transfer case, and transmission changed about 6000 miles ago. Transfer case was replaced just before I bought the truck. The only rust on the entire truck is a small superficial section in the drivers footwell, which i am planning on hitting with a wire brush and some paint. The truck did survive a hail storm in Colorado and bears the scars to prove it. I have slowly been PDR'ing what I can, but there are visible dents when looking at low angles on the hood and roof. Not a garage queen...
