1983 fj60 Toyota Land Cruiser. Thought I would have time to rebuild this guy, but decided I would rather focus on the other cruiser for now. Take this over and bring it back to a wonderful cruiser it could be.
It's in ok shape but could use some work. Comes with a second body( tub, compete set of doors with good glass, handles, interior panels, front and rear seats, dash parts that are missing on the original, ect..) the extra body is in better shape than the original. I had plans to get the current motor running well then swap the body.
Motor has a bit over 300k. Starts and sounds good, but won’t stay running unless you tap the gas and keep it above 1000 rpm. Could be a vacuum leak, or timing needs messed with. If I have some time this weekend I plan to check how the timing is. I'll adjust if necessary.
Parts added: new fuel pump, distributor cap, spark plugs, fuel filter, a bit better front seats (still have the original) and have done an oil change. Previous owner put in a new poly fuel tank, and new clutch at 291k
Both bodies have rust above the wheel wells, but the extra isn’t too bad at all. Lower tailgate has rust along the bottom outer edges. Clear title in my name. The extra body and interior has all the missing or better condition parts that can be swapped into the original. Has all the equipment for emissions if your county requires it. Doesn’t smoke, But can’t guarantee it would pass. Sold as is.
$3150. OBO

Can you post a pic of the VIN or DM it to me? Where has the truck been in it’s life? How long have you had it? Thx

I’m in castle rock.
I am traveling for work and PTO until after thanksgiving but can send/post the Vin when I get back.
From the previous owner he said he bought it from Evergreen, CO. I bought it from him just west of Cheyenne, WY.
I haven’t had it long. I bought it this past summer but don’t really have the time for it anymore. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Is the title in your name? Is it drive-able if you keep the RPM’s up (if I needed to run to the store or something)? Yes, please post or DM an image of the VIN when you get back into town. Thx

title is clear and in my name.
I’ve taken it around the neighborhood a few times, it stayed running, but stalled once I got back home pulled into the driveway and put into neutral.
Not really sure what it is causing this??

Hmmm...interesting. Can you send me an image of the VIN plate under the hood? For some reason the last couple 60s that I was interested in had some VIN discrepancies...not sure I’m interested in something with a wacky. VIN. Thx

@pizzaforsix
The lady watching the animals at our house was able to get this one. If you need the under the hood vin I can get when I get back.

This would be a good winter project for someone I'm sure. Shoot me an offer since it seems I might be high on my price.
