NorCal 1990 FJ62
Asking $14,500 for a well maintained 62 with 337k miles... I'm curious for everyone's input if this in unrealistic. I purchased through BAT in 2018 for $9,100 and have put quite a bit into it. I know vehicles tend to sell at a premium on BAT just not sure by how much. Spent most if its life in California with a few years in New Jersey. Let me know if you have any questions. Only trying to sell because my commute increased by about 80 miles round trip and this needs to become my daily driver so I was looking for a few more safety features for the kids. Below is a cold start video Additional photos can be found at the link below Registered and Passed Smog in January 2020. It was repainted in the original Beige and Grey (27G) in 2004...
1987 FJ60 Desmoged Donor Truck _ Knoxville TN
Taking Offers - Real offers please. The frame has finally gotten to the place it will not be safe in a couple years. I did put money into have a frame guy cut up the frame when I first got the truck, but the other parts are going soft. This is currently a daily driver and has been nothing but a dream to drive. If you already have a great body and frame but need a strong engine or drive train, this might be a good truck to consider. This is far from being a show car, it is a drive train donor truck. All the glass is good. The body and frame are very rusty. If you are good with frame work and can repair the bad pieces, this would be a great off road vehicle that you could take out and not hate yourself after dings and scratches. It really...
Dallas, 1983 FJ60
Listing up my 83 FJ60. I've had this for 2 years and its been great for me. PO had a ton of work done to it and I have done several things as well. It has served me well as a daily driver and an adventure vehicle. Moved out to Texas this year and picked up something that will tow the boat and horse trailer. Its been extremely reliable for me on several long adventures and the almost daily drive. Has 235K miles on it. I dont know what # owner I am. The engine runs very strong and although I cannot say what has been done to it my guess is that at one point it was rebuilt. It tows my 3000lb boat the few miles to the launch just fine and has no problem doing 65 on the freeway (I dont drive it over 55) When I had it in...
Oregon Coast (Newport) 1984 FJ60 $2000
Original 1984 FJ60 Was parked after there was a knock in the lower end. It will need new or rebuilt engine. The interior carpet is gone, Seats are OK, door cards are good, dash is good, headliner is good. It has light surface rust on the frame. Some rust in the rear wheel wells and light surface rust. No rain gutter rust. Worst rust is the rear tailgate and where the tailgate hinges mount. Transmission was working good when parked. Carburetor is gone. It could be a nice runner for someone with some time and money. Otherwise the money is defiantly there in parts. I have the title. You will need a trailer. Asking $2000
Morrison, CO Unmolested 1988 Land Cruiser FJ62
Selling my 1988 FJ62 with 153k miles - $8,500 My 1988 FJ62 (4.0L 3FE/Auto) failed Colorado emissions. The rabbit hole to fix the emissions problem uncovered cylinder 5 is functioning with 35lbs of pressure (should be at 150lbs). I would have had no idea that I was short a cylinder had I not failed emissions. The truck drives no different. That's why they say "If you want to go into [insert somewhere nasty] take a Land Rover. If we want to get back out, take a Land Cruiser." Head and valves are great. Problem came down to piston rings, which at that point makes sense to do a rebuild The Ugly It failed emissions because it was running very rich. Cylinder 5 was just pumping out unspent fuel. The problem needs boring and upsized pistons...

Hi there - I'm new to the forum, so greetings everyone. I recently fell in love with FJ60's, and was pointed here. Created this account to help facilitate a purchase, and then share all of the upcoming adventures and upgrades. I'm looking for a rust-free FJ60 with either low miles or a recent rebuild (or priced appropriately so I can either rebuild or swap in a diesel). Also - this will be my daily driver - however I only put about 8-10K miles on my cars per year. So, naturally I'm looking for more of a stock or overland-type rig, and something with a more modest theme. I can go either way whether or not the rig is built up or not. Part of me wants to borrow your expertise and buy already built, and another part wouldn't mind...
