I was out driving neighborhoods this weekend and saw this 60 for sale on the street. Stopped and spoke to the owner. He's had the truck for 19 years. Third owner. It had ~180k when he bought it and it now has 230k. I looked all over the truck. "Very clean". No rust. Two small dents....one on the drivers A pillar and another even smaller on the passenger side wheel well. A small crack in the dash around the instrument cluster. Because I knew I'd be asked, I drove the truck. Shifts smoothly. I'd replace the tired springs, maybe drop a 5 speed in it (bolt on) and if I wanted to make it perfect I'd paint it. Remarkable condition though for a 35 year old vehicle.
I have 3 Land Cruisers and don't need anymore.....or else......

Here's a pretty low-effort post contemplating selling or trading my FJ60.
I like my 60 a lot. It is a ton of fun to drive. I've rebuilt the knuckles and desmogged it. It's manual steering on a power steering box. The pump was bad when I got it, had been run dry. I think it might have leaked out the steering box.
Steering track bar is set a little wide, needs to come in some. I have a driver's side motor mount that needs to go on and the throttle plate doesn't close well. Timing needs to come back down. The HAC isn't installed, it kind of came apart. I do have a rebuild kit for the carburetor that may or may not fix the throttle issue.
Certainly not your cleanest, nicest FJ60. It's a tri-color. Front passenger door interior is not...
Im putting up my 83 FJ60 up for sale or interested in trades. Originally bought new in Colorado and made its way to Ontario ,Canada .( interesting story)
Saved from being scrapped 7 years ago . alot of time ,energy spent fixing the body with new metal ( alot of pics of body work) and a full paint job 4 years ago back to its orginal colour.

Hello...So I have gone back and forth on selling my 62. Overall a nice truck. Not perfect but a nice daily driver. Had it for 8 years. Has a clean car fax. Previously owned in Virginia and Tennessee according to car fax. When I bought it in South GA, it looked to have been been sitting for awhile. I recently had all new brakes, lines, calipers, pads etc. done. (Almost 2k) Since my purchase I baselined it, charged AC new radiator, hoses, battery, just did the belts and new windshield due to crack. Really like the 62 but want to try to get a 100. 1983 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 195k miles. A very stout machine with the Trollhole car. The engine runs and pulls beautifully. 4-speed shifts great. The floor is sprayed with bed liner so washing out is a breeze. It has a nice head unit could use new speakers and the interior is decent for its age. Steering is sloppy but definitely manageable. The springs are worn out and the shocks are new Ranchos but didn't ship with the proper bushings. So suspension work could be done. The frame is straight and rust free, it looks like the hood and top core support bar have been replaced. The fenders are a little mangled but from the look of it, there was a shop that tried to straighten the front all out. So in the end, really only the fenders are...

I came very close to buying this one back when it first went through BaT three years ago. After it went RNM, I went back and forth with the seller while doing more research. What I was hearing wasn't encouraging, so I walked.
Not saying there's anything underhanded or deceptive going on with the current listing, but before you go dropping the better part of 100 grand, be sure to know the history.

Looking for a mostly stock or lightly modified land cruiser. 1980-1997. Gas or diesel (currently own a tdi and duramax so why not add a toyota diesel!). If it needs work that's fine, I own wrenches and like getting my hand greasy. Willing to drive it home. Preferably on the west coast somewhere. Can do farther east if it runs and can get me home. Hello everyone. I am posting an ad to sell my blue 1988 FJ62 . Truck runs and drives good. Has 249k miles. I've put about 600 miles on it. I bought it locally last year as a project truck but want to devote my time to my FZJ80. Its been in the Albuquerque area its whole life. I've done quite a few repairs on it and have spent 5k in parts and have receipts to prove. Some of the more major stuff is the cylinder head gasket and valve job. Injectors rebuilt.
