I bought a FJ62 hoping it would satisfy the desire to have an fj60; It didn't. Unfortunately the guy I bought it from didn't know anything about it so I don't have maintenance records. I want to sell it so I can focus my time and money on my FJ55. I am working on fixing some things and will be updating this add as I fix things. The fix it list will shrink as the price grows.
From a rust standpoint it is a great rig. There are a couple bubbles/rust patches here and there but for a cruiser of this age it is extremely low rust based on the rigs I have seen over the past 15+ years of owning Land Cruisers. But like all to many out there, there is some rust/bubbleing over the rear wheel wells, drivers side behind the mud flap...

1983 Toyota Landcruiser FJ60 w/ Chevy 350 V-8 TBI engine (throttle body injection). I've owned for 6 years and driven all around North and South America - a really great truck but ultimately selling it as I've recently purchased a CJ7 Jeep and 3 cars is too many.
I figured I'll focus on the bad to help answer likely questions:
-There is no AC - compressor is present but the lines aren't hooked up.
-There is some rust on the quarter panels, tailgate, and a little above the passenger side rear cargo window

This is a 1988 FJ62 in Freeborn Red. It is basically a stock vehicle with the exception of a Terrain Tamer suspension and 33 x 10.50 BFG KO2 AT tires installed by the previous owner. This is a 62 series, so it has an automatic transmission and power windows and locks. The vehicle was purchased in the fall of 2017 from a Land Cruiser enthusiast and fellow ih8MUD member in Florida and the vehicle was serviced by Odd Iron Off road, a Land Cruiser specialist shop in Thomasville, GA. Prior to its arrival in Florida it lived on the West Coast in Oregon. Clean CARFAX is available as well.

For sale 2nd owner, rust free and accident free, garage kept Arizona 1988 FJ62. I bought this LC about 17 years ago from the original owner who lived in Phoenix. It sat in my garage for about 10 years as I collected parts. Life and other projects seemed to always get in the way.
This FJ is stock original except for the LQ9 (LS) out of a 2005 Escalade that met a untimely demise with only 1500 (verified) miles on the engine. The transmission is a NEW (not rebuilt) '02 NV4500 that I stumbled upon. It attaches to the original split case TC that has all new TOYOTA gears, bearings and everything else.

Ugh this post rips my heart out but the reality of needing a truck to work on my house outweigh my desire to own my dream cruiser -- so time to pass this dream boat on to someone else. My goal this past year was to baseline her and get her ready for all the "fun things" but first needed her mechanically sound. At this point pretty much have done that the only last thing I was going to do was convert back from the electronic fuel pump to the factory mechanical pump but haven't gotten around to that.

Throwing this out there - have had this truck for a few years, driven it around the country, but now have moved on and it mostly stays parked. Previous owner did a multi year Mexico trip. It's probably not a great candidate if you want a perfect truck, but if you want something you dont have to worry about scratching, it fits the bill.
