Got a 1982 white FJ60 many years ago....bought from brother in law who got it at auction in California...was sitting in the back of an auto yard.
I had it shipped here to North Houston: Tomball area....came with almost no papers. I was going to do the bonded title process...but have never gotten around to it.
Got it running a few years ago after dropping the tank. Drove it around the block. Then sent the carb off to get desmogged. Fast forward 3 yrs....found time to get the carb back on and brakes refreshed drove it around the block again. Fast forward another year.....I've come to accept I don't have the...

1987 Toyota Land Cruiser (FJ60) $28,500. Just under 160,000 miles.
The truck was purchased new from Capps Toyota in Searcy, Arkansas where it spent most of its life, eventually moving down to Houston, TX. According to Carfax, the truck sat from 2005-2016. In 2016 it was purchased by the gentleman I purchased the truck from. The truck was in bone-stock original condition when it was purchased in '16 (with the exception of the rebuilt Jasper motor that I have since replaced with a factory sealed unit with similar mileage). The previous owner expressed that the carburetor was replaced with a new AISIN unit prior to his ownership. I have no proof it is replaced or original, but it is genuine AISIN.

I have no affiliation with this - just noticed it posted today. The ad header is confusing - says $25K but that's for 2 cars. The LC is asking $17.5. The car is in Phoenix and ad claims to potentially be a one owner car. If true, this would likely have very little rust, though could have dry gaskets, vinyl cracks, etc that comes with heat and sun exposure.

Excellent conditions. Come and drive it! It has lift. OME 2.5” medium springs and shocks, anti inversion shackles.
The truck was desmogged before got it. Tires BFG. 33x10.5x15. Including spare. AC is cold. Engine, transmission and clutch were rebuild 6 years ago by Cruiser shop in Dallas . New interior upholstery. $22500.

Hi I’m selling my 1989 FJ62 it’s a daily driver it has 170k miles on a rebuild engine everything works perfect power windows and locks all work A/C blows cold has new tires no mechanical issues at all does have some dings here and there but is a daily driver then went through the whole family at one point had it for 12 years interior is not the best but not the worst seats are good no rips or tears could use a carpet and the dash is cracked from the sun no rust at all clean title I’m asking 13,200 OBO for more info please call me @ 702-406-8621 Corey thanks

200k miles will go up, my wife drives it daily to work.
Previous owner painted it, looks pretty sharp a few dings and Knicks here and there but nothing bad. I will provide pictures of everything upon request. Just testing the waters to see if there is interest.
I would prefer to sell but will entertain trades, let me know what you have, worst I can do is say no. Rig is stock with the exception of the lift and new tires. Recently put new plugs and wires, rig originally was owned by an electrician, he says he went through everything so wiring should be solid. Has been converted from r12 to r134 and blows cold air. Bit of a squeak currently not sure if it’s the belt or the compressor yet but will be fixed before selling.

The quick and dirty on the truck: 1981 FJ60, spring over axle conversion, front axle is cut-n-turned. 36" military tires which are old, hard, and a little chunked. Was flopped on the pass. side, windshield is broken (not shown in the pic above).
Stock 2F motor, desmogged, runs well...but the carb probably needs rebuilt. Stock 4speed trans. Spartan lockers front and rear, stock 3.73 gears.

Hey everyone, I have an 81 HJ60 for sale. Needing to get something that has third row and is wife-approved. ;) Bought this a year ago to restore and make a great weekend trail/daily driver. Just lost my job, so needing to get this thing gone. I had Goode Offroad in Dallas do some work and give it a look over and he said it's a solid mechanical rig and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across county. Was getting 20+ mpg before lift/tires. Underside is solid, no rust. Slight patina on a few things. Body has some rust... rear quarter panels, a few small spots around drip rail and passenger front windshield and pillar have rust showing through. Has the cool 60/40 split front bench sat.
