AZ V8 FJ60 Running Project
Full disclosure, I pretty much just joined to post this, but I daily a Toyota 4wd, and have been on pirate for 15 years, same screen name, I'm not hard to find It's a cool rig, there's no rust in the roof, pillars, floors, seems to just be in the rear wheel wells, and that seems minimal by 60 standards Asking $7950 I've sold trucks out of state, shipped sight unseen, I can provide references if we come to an agreement.
ISO a daily driver FJ60 that isn’t $25,000 and is preferably east of the Mississippi. It can be a good running drivable project if it has minimal rust on body panels, but needs to have a solid frame. Doesn’t need to be all original, in fact v8 swap is a bonus. If you have one for sale or can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

87 FJ60 - Colorado
Looking to get $3,500 I'm in the position where I'm thinking about giving up my project FJ60. I was in the process of swapping a 3FE from a 92 FJ80 into my FJ60 and ended up pausing the completion due to financial and work reasons. The 3FE is installed (all new engine gaskets and seals, new head gaskets and head bolts.) The engine came out of a running and driving FJ80 with 200-210K miles on it. The FJ60 body/chassis is lower at around 140-150K. The crusier was purchased at a salvage yard in Colorado by the previous owner. Proof of purchase and State inspection and title check is clear. But I do not have the title. I'm either selling this as a complete parts cruiser or someone can go through the bonding process and get a title for it...
Fort Worth, TX: 1988 FJ62 Land Cruiser
Fj62 for sale, rust free! 1988 Fj62 for sale $8000 The previous owner used this Land Cruiser as a hunting vehicle. It was completely covered in Rhino lining for protection against the brush. I scrapped 3/4 of the paint off to restore the value, and found no rust! I replaced the radiator, thermostat, and water pump. 9 months ago I couldn't get out of 1st gear, and the Land Cruiser Specialist out of Austin, TX did a Rodney flush and adjusted the kick down cable. After the maintenance everything ran great, but after over an hour at highway speed the transmission overheats. I can cruise all day long around town, but if I touch 65+ MPH the transmission will overheat. Other Maintenance required: Inner axle seals overdue for replacement...
1983 FJ60 w/ 3B Turbo, H42, Locked Rear, Kansas City, MO
We just got a 100 series and this one has to go. $7000 obo. 185xxx miles. 1983 FJ60 that some past owner swapped in a 3B drivetrain supposedly from Canada and added a turbo and intercooler. I've daily driven this truck for 6 of the last 7 years since I got it. Drove it home from Atlanta to Kansas City. This has been a reliable rig as far as I'm concerned. However, the time I spend in the garage on this my wife would say otherwise. Always garaged since I've owned it. First off: this truck is RUSTY. The brown hides it well, but it's there... kind of everywhere. Also, it leaks. If you're still interested read on. The details: Drivetrain Turbo 3B. Yes, this is bar far my favorite feature. The exhaust is just right to get that 4...
Hi all, Looking for a FJ60/62 in good condition (preferably later 80's) for my daily with no/very minimal rust and as close to stock as possible. Budget of $15k for the right one. You may remember me from my past post a few months seeking advice from mudders on whether I should get into cruisers and specifically a 60, and after deep deliberating and research I've decided to GO FOR IT! (Past post: Advice on whether I should buy a Land Cruiser ) I live in the west but would get on a plane in a heartbeat for the right 60 waiting far away, I'm young and ready to send it. I sincerely thank you for your time looking at my post and all your previous advice. Time to find my 60! Daniel

1984 HJ60 - LHD Portland OR
Not mine, just more of an FYI for any potential buyers. I’m not asking for a pittyfest just more of a heads up. It’s a great price, but should probably be towed home. I inspected the vehicle. Did some due diligence prior to flying from Chicago. If anyone is interested in the cruiser the seller seemed to leave out a few key notes below: -Does have rust along the gutters and there’s bondo -Needs Alignment -Brakes are extremely inadequate, pedal sinks to the floor, almost to the point where it’s basically pretty dangerous... -some blow by (could just need a valve adjustment as CD mentioned) -typical old 2H oil leaks Good luck
Hello everyone - I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this - but I just pushed my listing live with Bring a Trailer: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1985-toyota-land-cruiser-fj60-67/ *please let me know if there is a better place to post this on these forums! Of course you can see all the details at the link - but here's the short of it. I'm incredibly sad to have made the decision to sell this vehicle. A lot of love, blood, sweat and tears have gone into this rebuild over the years. But with my role as a new dad and lots more driving - I have made the tough call to part ways in favor of something more modern and ahem fuel efficient. The body is in amazing shape with a little rust in the rain rails up top and along the...
SW WA State 1985 FJ60 Resto-mod
1985 Toyota FJ-60 Land Cruiser $28,600 337,200 miles, 36,000 since restoration Southern Washington state, 30 mins North of Portland International Airport (PDX) For sale is our treasured 1985 FJ-60 Land Cruiser. It has provided many adventures during our 17 years of ownership and 36K trouble-free miles since its comprehensive restoration. My wife and I have reached that age where climbing the ladder to the RTT isn’t as much fun anymore, and we’re realizing its stored more than used. A hard-side trailer is in our future, and the Cruiser needs to find a new owner who will appreciate it! I’m the third owner, purchased in 2002 with 306K odometer miles. It had a crude but working old V-8 conversion already done, good original body...
Manchester, CT 87 FJ60/62 Time to move on, life changes
Well the time has come, life changes and need to let my FJ60 go. I have owned this truck since May 2015 with plans to restore it that have still not happened. 183K, just never drive her. Here are the details. Good cheap restoration project or trail rig. She has been good to me and never let me down since first got her. Solid running truck, clutch was new when bought it. Starts right up and runs smooth. 65-70 MPH on the highway, no issue. Shifts all four no issues, 4 Hi and 4 Lo same. Replaced the original to me Warn hubs with factory Aisin hubs in 2020. Front brakes were replaced/upgraded to T100/Tundra rotors and 80 series master cylinder 2019. Tires were new 2017. New custom exhaust header back in 2019. Nice sound/rumble with out...
