North Florida: 1990 FJ62 Project
So I bought this truck with the intention of fixing it up and letting one of the kids use it as a daily. However, the silly boy has enlisted in the Air Force and will no longer be around to help work on or drive this project. It has very little rust. The bottom drivers rear back lower panel behind the fender well that goes to the bumper has some rust. There is a little rust on the passenger front door. The roof and door jams look excellent. The dash is cracked as are most. The first $4500 takes it away. 1990 FJ62 291,000 miles runs and drives. Has $5481.15 in suspension, axels tires etc with the receipts. 2 inch lift wit 33 inch tires Purchased * hood *drivers fender *Valence *Core Support Lights and light bezel The radiator has a...
1985 FJ60 Susanville Ca
I purchased this truck in Nevada in 2012. Overall it's a good solid driver for a 247,000 mile rig. I've done valve adjustment, carburetor rebuild, new exhaust/cat back, starter, clutch master cylinder, driver side window regulator, and scuff and repaint last year. Other than that, just regular oil changes and such. No rust on the body except a small spot on the passenger side rear quarter by the mud flap which was repaired by the local body shop during the repaint. The chassis is solid, trans and transfer case shift smoothly, steering is tight, engine has good oil pressure with no cooling issues at all, and brakes stop great. This truck has been parked in my garage, when not driven, since I've owned it and spends more time there now...
I’m looking for a project. I happen to like many models so any of the ones listed in the title will do. I am looking to spend $2-$5K for this project—many listed online are at least $12K so I know what I’m getting into. Rust is okay but no rust bucket. I live in Houston but am willing to arrange shipping/transportation for the right vehicle.
1987 Diesel HJ60 Land Cruiser
Hello folks, just found out from my work that there is a good chance i will be moving, cant take two vehicles so posting here to see if there is any interest. I'd love to keep it, but the pain of transporting two vehicles and having to get offsite storage for the HJ has me hesitant. I'll place some details below, and update pictures in the days to come. I'm still in the process of figuring out if i can take it with me, if so, will plan to keep it. but wanted to see if there was any early interest. Engine: HJ 6cyl Diesel Mileage: ~ 90,000 miles(when converted from KM) Transmission: 5 spd manual Suspension: Old man Emu Maintenance: fully maintained, engine needs nothing, fuel pump was rebuilt to Toyota spec. last year. AC was...
I, like everyone else it seems am in search of a 60 project. Really looking for something solid rust wise but in need of mechanical work. Honestly something that doesn’t even run would be great as I plan to do an LS swap. Paint can be faded and panels can be dented. I just really h8rust. I’m up in VT and can travel within reason. Or if the seller is willing I would arrange for shipping the truck up here. Thanks!
Alexandria, Indiana. 1988 fj62 240000 miles $4000
I have to sell my cruiser due to relocating. I have moved to new mexico, and it is going to be to expensive to being her out here and get her emissions compliant. So here goes. 1988 fj62 with 240000 miles, $5000 firm. Spring over lift, cnt front axle, reclocked rear, custom drive shafts on both with cv joints, high steer kit up front with dampener. Knucks were rebuilt with new seals when lift was done, about 20k ago. Ford front shock hoops and modified stock rear shock mounts, custom length shocks on all 4 corners for max articulation. I do not recall the lengths, but a call to procomp with shock measurements will get you part #'s. Rear springs have helpers, front springs have extra leafs, they all set a little flat to give more...
Holland 1986 Diesel HJ60 with Swing-Out Rear Doors
Perusing European websites and just saw this. No affiliation, not mine, and I can't vouch for the car or seller, but it looks like an interesting truck. 1986 HJ60. Asking price is 15,500 Euro, or about US$18,660-ish. Ad says it has 35,000km's on it, which is probably a misprint--I've seen many times the Europeans being off by a factor of 10, so assume 350,000km's (about 220,000 miles), but definitely check with the seller on that. It being a Dutch truck, I'd expect to find some rust or rust repairs on it, so that would need to be investigated, also. It's relatively close the the port at Zeebrugge, so the cost to go get it and have it shipped would be reasonable. If seriously interested, PM me as I know a guy in Belgium who can go...
1985 FJ60 Austin, Tx ($12,500 obo)
1985 FJ60 Mileage: 250k Price: 12,500 obo Really great 60 in good condition. I’m selling for $12,500 obo. Having a kid soon and need something a little safer and more comfortable. I hate to get rid of it because it’s such a great truck and turns a lot of heads. I bought this truck in 2014 from the 3rd owner who lived in California. The truck was repainted once, and the carpet was stripped out and the truck was coated with Rhinoliner inside and underneath. Desmogged, Weber carb, Saginaw conversion, larger Champion radiator, and 3” OME heavy duty lift. 15x12.5x31 tires and wheels with factory spare underneath. Bulkier A/C components were removed from the engine bay but I still have them. I priced out the ac install at landcruiser...
Maryland: 1987 FJ60 Toyota Land Cruiser
I will let go of my beloved Toyota Landcruiser FJ60. I am not in hurry to sell it. I will let go for $10,000.00 (OBO). Everything works except for the horn. AC works, but the clutch makes some sound. During the past summer, I welded and all the rust spots in the frame. Now, it has very solid frame. It only has two rust spots in one quarter panel and one rear passenger door. I have owned it for past ~6 years. It was a daily driver at one point, and then it was coolest Home Depot truck. I have all the records of everything replaced: 5/17/20 225,555 Oil change w/ filter, 7 quarts of synthetic 5W30 4/22/20 225,555 rear cross member install, frame paint, welded all the rust on the frame, new cat converter 10/3/17 225,555...
Charlotte, NC - Red FJ62
I’m taking legitimate offers on my 62. All stock, with 224k on the odometer. It doesn’t hard shift into Reverse like so many do. It’s in storage back home in Charlotte. Interior is immaculate. One rip on the driver seat, maybe 2 inches long She’s all Toyota. This truck comes with every maintenance document, and includes dealership window stickers and price sheet. It was bought and lived in Houston, TX. ive owned for 5 years. I’m just not interested in owning multiple cars anymore. It’s a beautiful truck. it has some rust that needs to be addressed on the body, but it’s all minor. The quote to repair and paint match was $2600. It comes with a new lift hatch to replace the one on it. Ref the pics. I’ll do my best to get interior pics...
I was in the process of LS swapping an 80 series, my wife wants a 60 series... Needless to say, I am now looking for a 60/62 series. I will be doing an LS swap unless it currently runs, so the drivetrain is not important. A truck with a complete interior would be nice. Transfer case and axles must be present. RUST - I am not afraid of rust but I do not want a rust bucket either. Rockers, dogleg, quarters, fenders don't scare me. I don't want to fool with roof rust. All in all, looking to spend between 3-5K for a decent project truck. Distance isn't a huge deal, ideally within 6-8 hours of Memphis, TN area.
