Bought this a few months ago with plans to fix and put it back on the road but things have changed along with plans and need to free up some cash for a future business endeavor. No rust besides one piece in the trim above license plate on rear hatch. Have a clean and open title. The motor needs to be replaced or repaired as it developed a knock. Transmission was rebuilt in 2017 if memory serves correctly. Have a picture of paperwork showing rebuild but I’ve lost the actual document it’s self unfortunately. Selling my 87 FJ60. Had high hopes for this guy, but too many projects got the best of me. Currently running a GM 305 Small Block and a T350 Transmission. I have removed all of the body rust with exception for small spots in the bed and have repaired the fenders with Wolf patchwork.
The FJ sits on Rancho Suspension and 35 in BFG KO tires with less than 5k miles. It has custom bumpers and rock guards underneath the tranny.
Front seats are leather and rear is original, new dash cap replacement, Custom wood console, windshield replacement, bed lined floors and tint (for TX heat). AC Needs compressor.
I am asking $14K OBO and happy to negotiate.
Going to look at this cruiser this weekend. Previously owned an 80s series but had to sell for a more economical DD. Now I work from home full time so looking to get another LC. Seems to be solid and a good deal. Any feedback is appreciated!

I have a 1981 FJ60 (White), SOA, original Engine, original Carb, original Tranny. Very few modifications have been done. I have a custom front bumper and I have not made the rear bumper yet. I have a set of sliders for the truck, they were cut off to build new ones, but they can be welded back on. I have a "working" snorkel and there is a custom made roof rack and mounting feet that comes with it.
It's has "third row" seating in the form of two FJ60 front seats mounted in reverse, allowing the rig to carry 7 persons in seat belts.
I have a few extra parts for the LC, I'll try to list them tomorrow, but I believe there is an extra air box, extra starter, extra fuel pump, extra water pump, and some various other FJ60 / FJ40...
I have a 1990 FJ62, 216k miles. This Land Cruiser has a custom poptop roof for overlanding. The roof has a metal frame base that was welded to the body. The top is a welded aluminum frame with a Nidacore top attached. The tent was made by The Canvas Works in Sausalito. They also made the sleeping padding with high quality foam and sunbrella fabric. I recently installed a 3" Heavy OME lift from Cruiser Outfitters and rolls on 31" BFGs. It has a set of Corbeau Seats with heat (needs to be wired) and lumbar support. After careful consideration I've decided to part with my 60.
I'm not a Cruiser guy so I don't know too much about this truck but I kind of always wanted one so when presented with the opportunity to buy a rust free example I jumped on it without considering if I'd actually have time to get it up to snuff and on the road. This is defiantly a project but with no real rust issues you only really need to focus on mechanical and paint. Once it arrived I replaced the oil in the engine, diffs, tcase, and trans, replaced the plugs, and clutch master (it bleed out during transport). I've driven it around the neighborhood a few times but otherwise its been sitting in my driveway since November.
What I know that it needs

In the market for a 60 or 62 that will be mainly used as a daily driver, for me and the wife (local design business) but will be used for occasional beach/mtn weekend camping trip as well. Looking for most of the obvious things like no/limited rust. Would prefer automatic but open to manual.
