GX is gonna get the Hybrid twin scroll 5.7 from the 200.......so add two turbos and two inline electric motors off the front and rear of the tcase 750hp and 1000ftlbs tq......and 10.5" trundra axles front and rear. Unfortunately- its getting...
I think it was in the Car Care Nut thread that he spoke about the ball bearings vs roller bearings in the rear axle- so i wouldnt be so quick to discount the rear axle strength of the LC quite yet. I could see toyota opting for much bigger...
Once the initiall dealer markup and goldrush phase dissipates on the LC250 and Gx550s and Toyota starts ramping up production/ as dealer lots fill up with inventory-- i would imagine there will be quite a bit of incentive for dealers to offload...
imho the whole hitch-sitch is a nothingburger. People will be yanking out the spare tire.....chopping off the hitch/crossmember and relocating it all a whole notch higher and tucked in - to improve departure angles. By the looks of...
big takeaways: diffs- stronger ball bearings vs tapered bearings in the rear. And front diff-stronger side bearing. housing is thinner but triangulated from diff out.
-10spd trans gearing and keeping the rpms in low range throughout...
published mpg means nothing offroad. An electric motor with max torque on demand should allow a little 4banger to sip fuel compared to a v6 spooling up turbos offroad. Im more curious to see the real world fuel numbers driving offroad 5-20 mph.
just an FYI- the 250 is built on the 300 platform which is superior to the 200 platform. So we all might want to wait til its actually out- and see what its all about before calling it a complete disappointment???? And given its coming in...
Tall skinnies. If the 1958 fits 17” rims, I’ll likely go with a 255/80, or, if the spare fits, perhaps the Kenda or Baja Boss 34/35 x 10. I don’t know if there are 18” rim versions of 33-35 x 10s, and I’m wary to go too tall without first...
Im seeing lots of 2016s from $42-48k. 2019s-$60k and NOT selling. Anything 2013-15 are already in the $30s.
No one in their right mind now is going to pony up $50k for a 200 no matter the year UNTIL the similarly priced 250 is out and real...
Yeah- im pretty sure Toyota wouldnt give you too much for your 200 trade in. Supra values have been increasing for the past 10 years and the 200 is going to be going in the opposite direction especially with Toyotas new pricing structure...
Toyota would probably say that given you can get out of a 2016+ Landcruiser for around $50k.....you probably should just step up to LC250 or GX550 vs throwing $5200 at the valley plate/cam tower and all other must-dos. 😂 Toyotas new pricing...
from someone interested in the 200 series platform. are the fixes for these leaks a permanent fix or will they always be at risk for it leaking again? This is not giving me confidence of reliability coming from j100. i really dont mind the timing...
Not gonna lie - a microwave would be pretty F'n great to have tailgating at the ski hill. WAY more useful than the cool box that takes up 70% of the center console volume. Bonus idea - make the center console a microwave!
